Well, I'm afraid something similar is guaranteed to occur with me managing GAME. If I were in charge? There'd be no store. In fact, there would be no shopping centre. Instead there would be a howling bomb crater whipped by scouring nuclear-winter winds, and several confused employees staggering around with singed clothing and blackened faces... Possibly crying.

The sad part is I wouldn't do it purposefully, but accidentally.

But, with someone else in charge the concept works PERFECTLY!

I applied for a job at Gamestation last week. The manager and I sort of know each other already through my current job, and as luck would have it, the shop only has saturday vacancies. Bingo!
Now, to actually pot this job...

Oh oh. Gamestation is the natural enemy of GAME. I go in Gamestation sometimes, in uniform, just to loiter suspiciously... And eye bundle deals with an expression of scorn. Occassionally I'll pick up boxes, only to put them down in a incorrect location. Sometimes I'll narrow my eyes at the employees. And complain about the fashionable music. GAME is mom-friendly. Gamestation... Well, just... No.

Management in a games shop. Not want I want to do forever but it is a lot of fun, I get to cosplay in work sometimes and I could do a heck of a lot worse!!

Edit: gah from reading this thread properly, Ive realised that quite a lot of other girlies work in games shops also!! Hurrah!! Although I'm the enemy

I applied to be a librarian, i wasn't prepared for the little essay they make you write before the interview -__-

I work at the worlds oldest themepark, "The Hill" (Or Bakken, if you ever decide to go to Scandinavia ;D)
What I do there? I make burgers. And fishsticks. <_<

but yeah I still need the part time job to combine with the EMA for ultimate FUSIONNN

interesting to see what people do for work, so many cute and fun-sounding jobs!

I work as a stage assistant and/or co-organizer for big events 1-3 times a year. Responsibilities vary, I could be the personal assistant someone important (when he says "I need to pee", I say "halt the show everyone" ) or I could be writing last-minute scripts and interviews for impulsive fillers when we're a little off the schedule. As one of my bosses once said; "one minute you're invisible, the next you're in the face of 3000 people".

I'm also a part of security-crews, whenever they need/want me. Troublemakers seem more willing to listen to girls than men, especially when drunk.

I've been studying to become a psychologist this year, but I'm gonna take a semester off and think about what I want to do, and then I might want to find a part-time job. Dunno what to do yet though.

Working for GAME sounds a blast, but the competition is hard where I live (Nerd City, with only 2 video game shops)...

my last two were part time

First one was a Waiter at a Chinese Restaurant. I quit because the only work person who liked me left. pay was under aswell. It was quite easy on lazy days but very stressful when it got busy. what was annoying when customers couldnt downright just order something but had to have something complicated and the likes which took up time.

Second was till worker at a local supervalu. It had not bad pay but the job was easy unless you got stuck outside at the oil pumps doing NOTHING. Also the supervisors were really angry all the time.

so i currently hold no job and live off my student loan
