KitaCon 2014
Well, I've got myself sorted for it, staying in the Hilton (Ooh lah lah!) and got my ticket sorted, so yay!

What about you guys? Tickets seem to have gone down very quickly. 1,300 on Friday, now there's only 134 left (as of the moment I posted this ), but I'm guessing there'll be some tickets can't be paid for in time, so probably will have tickets bouncing around, somewhat.

On another note, anyone from around the Bristol/Bath area going to Kitacon 2014? If so, get talking with me, trying to get a group going up there. Know I'm starting early, but heck, better to start early than not at all!

Ill be there Grabbed a spot on the pending list until I can pay up. Hoping the Hilton will have extra rooms soon as I'll be too lazy to stay elsewhere (and I like the pool too).

I already started my cosplays Looking forward to working on them!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Haha.

Thought I was doing things a bit too early with my costume, but with the result of my last one (and first one :rolleyes I decided to start mine early. Might do two if I can muster up the courage to try a second one Perhaps rebuild my first costume and make it work better!

Hoping to get to know more people on here so I can see you all there and be all "I actually know of some people!"

Tickets bought and paid for. Room secured with credit card. It was a bit nerve-wracking though, particularly as the link to book, auto-completed with bogus dates and you had to correct them manually!

As for cosplaying? I've no idea! Let me get my October Expo costumes finished first! XD

Haha, excellent! I'm still very damn new to all this, so hearing people do 2-3 cosplays per convention makes me sorta throw myself back and go "Woah, these guys have got skill" - Which I think all cosplayers do have some admirable skill.

Okay, thought I was the only one slightly nervous about the credit card situation. It sits there saying "1st" and I kept thinking "... Am I leaving on the 31st? Really?" and triple checking my calendar. Very excited about staying in the Hilton of all places, too

My last cosplay wouldn't be too hard to remake/make a lot better, especially since I've got so much left over material from last time, that I might do that for the first night, then take my muuuch more time consuming Ed costume for an event... But, time will tell!

Looking forward to it but sadly there were a few of us that never got the option to actually book the hotel so waiting to see what happens on all that side of things.

As well, we got the reg done.

Registered but still need to pay (waiting for work to pay me!) Only just managed to book a room but at least I have something. Got a few ideas for costumes, I'll probably be starting a few in December to get them done in time. Looking forward to Kita

I tend to do three costumes per event, but one of them will always be a re-wear, a "regular clothes plus prop", or a bought costume. I know a few people that will do six or more (often 2 or 3 are bought costumes*), but I often wonder how they have the time to get changed! It takes me long enough wearing one per day, and even then it's nice to change back to comfy clothes at the end of the day XD

*=alternatively they are way more motivated than me, or have more time they can devote to making costumes

You can never be too early to start making cosplays for a convention in my opinion Allows plenty of time without the rush XD The few weeks before a convention can go surprisingly fast so take your time and have fun with preparing! I also enjoy making stuff for conbooks and making AMVs for the event to get hyped up! Hope I get a new laptop soon so I can actually do these again this year!

I have 6 cosplays on my Kita signature right now, but one of them is a rewear and 2 of the characters pretty much wear the same uniform, just different hairstyles 2 of them are pretty straightforward but enough to keep me busy and 1 masquerade costume, which is gonna be the big one XD

I like making 1 complex costume and slowly add bit by bit to it and doing simpler projects along side of it for confidence if I am feeling stressed or planning the next move.

I'm all booked up but my friends missed out. Planning on some Pandora hearts and Attack on Titan cosplays. On the hotel side I booked a twin then my friend failed at booking a spot at the con, so I might well have a hotel space going at some point.

Who will you be cosplaying from Pandora hearts? I'll be doing Ada to the ball. Would love to get photos with you!

The plan is to get my Gilbert finished off by then. We definitely need to get some photos together! Not sure what I'm cosplaying for the ball but I suppose Gil could work as formal.

I was planning to go but dang, those tickets sold out fast. I was hoping for a little more decision time before I could buy them so I waited, but oh well there's other events.

If you still want to go keep an eye on the page as the payment deadline approaches. Tickets might become available as people fail to book up. I've told my friends to do the same in the hope that they might be able to get in!

I wanted to go, but it clashes with Sci-Fi Weekender at Hafan y Môr, that I booked last year

Shame too, as if SFX Weekender was early March like it said originally, I could do both!

After Ayacon being my first con, would love to do more cons.

23 Sep 2013 - 18:56107506
Just need to pay for my registration and im ready to go

as for cosplays ill most likely do rewears and will decide more near the con day

Yes! Ticket booked and accommodation sorted. My partner and I will be in attendance together, so we're thinking about cosplay couples we can do. Still undecided though. Soon...

Registration paid for and Hilton hotel room reserved

Cosplay wise I am aiming for Leia from Tales of Xillia on the Saturday and Luka from Vocaloid on Sunday - otherwise not sure on the other days yet XD

Anyone who hasn't registered and see its full don't be put off because people have 14 days to pay and if they don't that means people on the waiting list will get a chance!

Ticket and room sorted hurrah!! Not got a clue about cosplays. Some rewear action will more than likely be happening. Plus my boyfriend is actually coming to a weekend convention with me for the first time ever and he's never cosplayed before so this will have to be remedied over the weekend hehe.

Got ticket and room sorted! So excited for this!
Cosplay wise, I have a crazy long list of potential groups and cosplays that I should probably whittle down...

My only definates are:
Merurulince Rede Arls (Atelier Meruru)
June (999)
Cheria Barnes (young- Tales of Graces f)
Marie (ballgown - Rhythm Thief)

Paid for my ticket yesterday, and room was sorted before. Excited its out the way, so onwards to make the cosplays sometime soon.

All I have planned is Leif (Animal Crossing), a secret cosplay with a friend and then probably something Disney. Either Wreck-it Ralph or a classic Disney character.
Plus anything else I can squeeze into the cracks if possible.

Defo going and have my reg paid, just a room to sort.

No idea about costumes yet.
Would like to do groups though (Studio Ghibl/DBZ/LoL/Magic the Gathering/Zelda/Pokemon/Vocaloid/everything)

I'm from Bristol, but currently residing in the midlands because of uni, but I could introduce you to some peoples.

On to the topic Kitacon. I am payed for and my hotel is all booked!! I did it all with in 5 mins of reg opening >.<.
Cosplay wise. I am taking 3 (maybe 4 if I got spare time to make it) I've already got all the stuff for the cosplays that are on the banner in my signature, just need to put them together. I'm still deciding on what others to do though as I don't wanna over crowd my list with things from the same game, anime and such. All newly made.
Also I got three over the top outfits for the parties on the night.
