{insert obligatory new here}
Hey all,

The obligatory new here post!

From Bristol and having had my first experience in cosplaying at Ayacon 2013, I am sold on the community, conventions and actual cosplaying.

I went as Zidane Tribal, but like I used to always do, rushed it last minute and the costume fell apart. I didn't think I would have actually enjoyed cosplaying, but damn it, I did.

Planning on going to Kitacon and thinking of either going to or making a Bristol/South-West meetup. I am not a Facebook-er, but if these meetups still happen, would love to know!

Hope to meet some of you soon

Wooooo! Welcome aboard.

I'm glad you had fun with it, and look forward to seeing what you make/wear next

If you have any specific queries (like making your costume more hard-wearing) there's a lot of knowledgable people here on Cosplay Island who are always keen to share what they've learned.

Started on my next one already to ensure I don't get the same results as last time

I may eventually re-do that Zidane costume, but my next project is Edward Elric gatta love the arm and leg!

Always nice to meet more south-westerly cosplayers
Unfortunately I don't know if many local meets happen, but I know there are plenty of cosplayers down this part of the world, so hopefully there are

Best of luck with your future costumes

Most of it is a case of getting practice. Welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing your Ed costume!
