hey!

just wondered if anyone can give some advice on how to colour eyebrows to match your wig. you see all the costumes i have planned have either blonde, white or grey hair and i got dark brown eyebrows :/

well the only way I know of is to use foundation lightly over your eyes O_o i know it sounds horrid and you probably know but my friend was having trouble with his bridget cosplay, having dark eyebrows he found it difficult for stuff to work
other people may have less pathetic advice ^^

I've seen a tutorial in Cosmode about this... and I think it wa liquid fountation over your natural eyebrows and drawing over them in the correct colour (though I think that would be really hard with blonde eyebrows).

I've just used eye koal before with Feena and Rydia - but thats a bit easier. Changing brown eyebrows to green ones, I mean. ^^;

So far I've only had to change my eyebrows to blonde and it may sound a little strange but literally I just used a foundation stick over them and that worked fine (and I have very dark very thick eyebrows.) This also works if you do it very lightly for grey eyebrows (at least for me.) As for other colours...I would also appreciate advice as I'm going to have to go orange later this year. O.o

hey if beening looking in the same thing for my old big boss cosplay, and i found "ben nye" hair colour make-up, you comb it in with a toothbrush and it washes, it comes in white, silver, grey and other normal hair colours. it works on hair, eyebrows and beards. cost wise its about £4 a 4oz bottle which does a head of hair 2/3 times,

only seen it online but you can get it from UK sites, makeupeffects.co.uk

In the past I've gone from blonde to brunette, uber platinum blonde and proper ginger! Each time I've used foundation (concealer works too) over the eyebrows, then either using a correctly coloured eyebrow pencil or eyeliner (tbh lipliner works too) to draw the shape on, then use similar colour eyeshadow to create a more natural look. Ops that should be eyeshadow first, then liner.

Depending on how thick your hairs are, or how thick/thin your eyebrows are already, you can sometimes just get away with eyeshadow.

It is worth experimenting, you can always post up some attempts for some feedback if you're not sure!

i used an eyebrow definer for my orochimaru cosplay, but i have light eyebrows anyway and was wearing white makeup. I don't know if about lightening them, but I'm guessing the company that made the one I used (collection 2000 or rimmel?) must do other colours.
Sorry i can't be more help.

I'd reccommend wearing foundation and powder over your natural eyebrows, then use a face-paint style thing (Snazaroo is good) to draw on the white or silver/grey. If you apply it with a brush and follow the natural shape it ought to work!

Or you can flatten down your eyebrows with soap/pritstick (sounds insane but works), foundation over and then start from scratch drawing them back on.

Even more extreme, if you want to get rid of yours totally - spirit gum some nose putty over your eyebrows and smooth it down into shape so they are covered completely, then makeup to match the rest of your face and draw new eyebrows on top in pencil/liquid/body paint/whatever.

Okay, this one sounds a bit crazy, but I saw a tutorial (I think on Cosplay.com) for this where you put PVA glue over your eyebrows. The advantages to this are that you can see where your eyebrows ought to be, but cover them up easily, and in theory remove the PVA in one go.

In practice, it takes a while to get off. (Personal experience)

But it works. And it's cheap.

I actually have read that thread and so gave it a go but it didn't work too well for me. I'm not sure if I was doing it wrong (needed more PVA) but it failed a tad. XD This is probably because of how dark and thick my eyebrows are though...I imagine it would work for someone else...

I still have the glue so I might give it another go sometime.

Okay, I retried the PVA method and have this to report:

While it didn't make the colour of my eyebrows (also quite dark) any less, it did make removal of eyeliner/lipliner much easier. Also, PVA was quite easy to rub out.
