Any NERF fans out there?
I'm still pretty new to the whole Nerf gun thing, but I do love my Maverick, for it's chunky aesthetic (and the yellow and black colour scheme is a favourite of mine).

However, since getting my partner a Rebelle Guardian Crossbow for her birthday, I'm significantly outranged! I don't really want to get involved with the clip-fed weapons, but the Strongarm is looking like a more reliable replacement for me.

Anyone have experience of these? Or opinions on specific weapons?

Always great meeting new nerf fans!!! Would love to get more of a community and appreciation for em on here!

What's your problem with clip fed?

Purely aesthetic. I just don't like many of the clip using designs, and revolvers are pleasingly retro.

Fashion over function in this case. She will always have a range and reload advantage short of you doing the multiple barrel exchange mod

The Guardian is a six shot revolver as well, it's just dressed up as a crossbow

Mind you, I'm using the old type ammo too, until I can get to Argos. Maybe I'll get better range with Elite ammo?

It's more aerodynamic

Should be able to grab some tomorrow, so we'll see then. One thing I've learned about the Rebelle darts is the funky patterning make them hard to find in the garden! XD

I've not had much luck meeting airsofters. Most of the ones I've spoken to in person switched from paintballing because it wasn't as manly. (One told me he didn't like paintball because it didn't hurt enough!)

I'll leave paramilitary re-enactment to you guys. I like my toys

EDIT: ThinkGeek's Strongarm page says "Perfect for steampunk modders (hint, hint)"
