Post bad cosplay experiances
here's mine a paranoid girl with to much time on her hands exaggerates to her friend that I am abusing her, we work it out the first time as I basically say no I wasn't to her boyfriend and I confront her about it she gives me all smiles and talk like she is my best friend.
3 weeks later it happens again, stop treating my girlfriend like crap what did she ever do to you? I confront him I say this happened last time what the hell is wrong with you this girl is creating drama for the sake of it. The girl blocks me, the guy well he acts likes he's a hero and I am the scum of the earth.

They turn everyone against me and all I can think is what is wrong with these people.

So onto you share the goodies. Just don't forget you cannot name and shame anyone on this forum ! remember that when you post your bad experience

Honestly, I don't think this thread is a very good idea.

I don't doubt many of us have had at least something over the time we've been doing this hobby, but I think encouraging people to spread the negatives of their experiences isn't really conducive to fostering a good community.

It also has the potential to turn into one of those naming & shaming threads and to get rapidly out of control.

If others wish to post in here then fair enough, but thats my opinion on it.

I also soo this as negitive and pointless.
Also bluewolf so far out of all the posts you have done EVERYTHING has been negitive =/ This is not good for cosplay island which is ment to be happy and family friendly.

This is my opinon

comeon we have to prepare for all contingencies! try and pretend your batman you've got something for everything. Sometimes these stories can be entertaining just my thoughts on it we need to spread discussion and readiness for what lies ahead especially if it is danger, why do you think animals and humans remember terribly violent events or bad events in their lifes? to prepare themselves for it if it happens again.

If you would like to moan at me take it privet, I AM NOT spreading any miss information about you, I do not care to waste my time on arguing with you while watching you clearly dis people I know and myself. Ever since you joined Cosplay Island you have done nothing but complain and been rude. This is ment to be for a happyer side of the cosplay world. People who want to moan about other cosplayers do so to their friends not publically else that is a form of trolling. Go ahead and report me. I don't actually care as infact I have done nothing wrong and I think others would actually agree with me. I have all proof I need.
So thank you and good day

Preparing for crap is fine - dwelling on it with the potential for people to get nasty and start spreading names and attacking each other and people being passive aggressive about others however is not.

Also, honestly? I don't see how what you posted constitutes a "bad cosplay experience", so much as a bad social experience.

I(and presumably others) would prefer things stay civil, which is why I'm commenting before this thread goes anywhere and gets out of hand - we already have one thread for people to vent random things into.

well someone needs to sit in corner hey folks!! naming me and shaming me in my own thread ..the limits people will go to, to protect their self image. Lets just forget that incident and crack on with the thread! lets go rolling share those experiences but please keep it down remember no naming no shaming policy.

Why are you still here. Itsa baaaaaaaaad thread remember you hate it in here you said so yourself unless you are going to magically change what you said with a special edit button.

30 Aug 2013 - 21:54106691
perhaps starting a "funny cosplay experiences" thread would be a much more delightful idea. Spread love guys, not hate

30 Aug 2013 - 21:54106692
Absolutely nothing wrong with venting, but it seems your problem would be better suited for Facebook or Tumblr, as you said this was for "bad cosplay" experiences yet your story says nothing about cosplay.

I think there is a strange cosplay experiences thread somewhere back in the forum - for bad, good and downright funny experiences!

Bluewolf, calm yo tits!

You are creating drama on here! You're gonna put everyone off you forever if you keep this up.

Someone disagrees with you and you turn really rude and nasty, it's not big and it's not clever!

TWO WORDS: Social etiquette!

Funny that, the girl you're slagging off right here is my fiancé. DarkieKun is my fiancé and has been for almost a year now. She is not spreading mis-iformation about you around you are of her since you clearly think she is a heterosexual.
The only person she talks about you to is me and the male who offered her services to you.

I'd like to ask you kindly to leave my fiancé alone. Stop messaging her. Stop being nasty. Stop bombarding CI with posts about her as you are damaging her name and her business. If you have a problem with her talk to her or myself as this is completely unfair.
As far as I am concerned she didn't feel she could meet the needs of your outfit due to not having the equipment. I am allergic to fake fur so having that in the house is not advisable. I'm sorry she couldn't agree to your commission but doing this is completely spiteful and just an awful thing to do to someone reputation.

You need to stop. This thread needs to stop as it's only making people fight. I dont care 'who started it' or whatever, but it's just a testament to the fact that the british cosplay community is close knit - and close knit enough for people to pick out exactly who is part of negative experiences which isn't fair on anybody especially since they may have occurred years ago. Why dredge it up?

On the other hand on cosplay.com they do have this thread: http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=147649&highlight=bad+cosplay+experiences if you badly need to hear about negative experiences or learn from them. The case of dealing with them would be to keep quiet and walk away, if its harrassment then talk to security.

This is getting out of hand, do the mods not see anything!!! do they enjoy this, this has gone far enough get out of my thread, get out of it right now, all of you, out I never want to see anyone of you ever again

Our objections were against the thread itself not you and what the thread itself may (and has already) lead to - I was aiming to defuse it before it occured.

You are however seemingly going out of your way to provoke people further if you feel a response disagrees with your perspective and treat it as a personal attack, rather than what it is - either a difference of opinion or constructive criticism (meaning 'useful advice' not "heaving a go".

I would advise this thread is left alone, as I have little doubt it will shortly be deleted due to what it has rapidly become.

I'm talking about you with it. Look, what you're doing is gonna just make people not like you, which will result in you feeling victimised, attacked and excluded.

This is not what we want, but you'll do it from how negative you're being, and then when people call you on it, you're aggressive. It's not a way to make or keep friends. You'll just push people out of your life if you keep it up.

Ain't nobody who likes a misery guts. Rant on the ranting thread if you have to, but don't live on there either! You gotta be less aggressive towards people.
