Magnet wig attachment
Hey folks , I'm doing a cosplay of kogarashi from kamen no maid guy, just working on the mask right now and have a long (90 cm) straight black wig on order,

I have some small neodymium magnets that I want to use to make the mask detachable,

What I can't decide however is how to best anchor them to the wig.

I can either

1 create a band of worbla under the wig cap that has the magnets attached and pin that to the mesh,

2 attach the magnets to bobby pins and use them when pinning them to my hair/ wig cap

Can anyone suggest anything better , plus being I have shortish hair will the bobby pin idea work?

Hi there

I'm not sure if this is a better suggestion, but it was just an idea I had. You could purchase hair combs and attach the magnets to those. The combs would be removable and should hold within the wig hair, as long as the mask isn't too heavy. They would also hold the hair in place, preventing stray hairs from flopping over the top of the mask.

I haven't tried it myself, but it was just an idea ^_^

Or make a tube of thin fabric and put the magnets in the tube, before sewing around them (I'm assuming they're round magnets, but sewing in a square around them will be fine(maybe you can also glue but it might scratch at your head)), then sew the tube under the wig, if your magnets are strong enough.
