BOOM, ive never done a cosplay before. Except maybe the 11th Doctor but he's so over done now. I really think I want to do Ash Williams ( https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTrJ3Q2EScsAFPajXQiiu8LaCch31uYhrGYeX4m3YEb9BPDwJJTug )from the evil dead series but I gotta get all BEEFCAKE for that one. I think if I could find people to join me I could be Judd Nelson in the breakfast club, I do plan on growing my hair by the way. Anyway all answers are welcome! I'm looking more for a hero or a character from something that I recognize but if you have any ideas I'd love to get into a new series or something, thanks! And if you noticed I'm American...I know the mistake that I've made...
Also, if it's needed.
Height: 6'2"
I'm skinny
Blue-ish green eyes
Low budget and inexperienced

You know that character you really like from your favourite series/film/book/game/comic/music video/advert/toy range?

Cosplay as them.

Don't believe the myth that you can only cosplay as people you resemble. And even if you do, as a young slim dude you resemble 85% (guesstimate) of protaganists in the media.

Ash Williams is a fine choice, and young Bruce was really scrawny, so beefcake is optional (or you could wear a fake muscle chest.

Everything Pandora said is right- pick a character you like. You've already suggested some, so go as one of those. Every cosplayer will tell you that having a connection to a character is more important than being 100% body match and you can use various tricks to hide those things that don't match.

Thanks! For the protagonist thing I mean, I know you didn't mean it as a compliment but that's a pretty awesome thing to say. I think I will stick with Ash. But if anyone does have an idea of someone that I could do well I would like to consider it, I don't really have my heart set on Ash or anything I wanted to explore other options. Aaaaand as far as the BEEFCAKE thing I think I will try to get some muscle anyway, I mean think about it. Tons of people go to Phoenix comicon, that means tons of people are going to see my left nipple. If people are going to see my left nipple I want to be completely sure that no one will judge my nipple, I just want them to focus on all the muscles I will potentially have around it, or the chainsaw hand....yeah...chainsaw hand. Sorry I type a lot I like to write.

Yeah sorry about that. I have a major bee in my bonnet about the "who should I cosplay as" threads. I personally feel you should cosplay a character because you think they are great (or have an awesome costume). So when people have no strong feelings about who to dress up as, I have to stop myself yelling, "So why are you even cosplaying?"

But I think Ash is a good choice if you are a fan and new to this. His outfit doesn't require tons of skill, or unusal components. And as he's a popular character, you should have a lot of fun interacting with people too.

If you want to tone up, that's awesome. If you don't have the time or energy to do that though, there's a bunch of things you can do with bronzer, pale foundation and brown eye shadow to fake muscles

And I have no skill and only usual components! It's perfect! Thanks again
