First time cosplay - League of Legends (Lee Sin)
Hey there!
My name's Rudi - I'm a 14 year old boy who has absolutely 0 experience in cosplay. I'm going to Fan Expo (Canadian Comic Con)near the end of august, and I'm trying to figure out a way to put together some sort of league of legends cosplay. I have a job, so I have a decent sum of money, but I'd rather stay cheap. The character I'm thinking of cosplaying is Lee Sin:

So far I've found a few items I think I could use, or atleast that have equivalents I could use (ex. there's women's clothing, dunno if there's male equivalents).
Here are some of those things:

I have long, curly hair - so I would most likely pull it up, gel it, then braid the amount that's up, and somehow attach it to whatever I use as the long braid. I'm incredibly ignorant about all of this, so if anyone would be willing to take me under their wing, and help me out, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Hi there,

For Lee Sin's trousers you could just make a set of pantaloons:

They're pretty easy to handsew (albeit timeconsuming) if you don't have a sewing machine, as they're so baggy you don't really have to worry about fitting etc too much so there's little risk of the seams coming apart. Those are pretty much the only things you need to actually sew, as you've pointed out, everything else is bandages and athlete tape. For sewing, use a backstitch for the most strength e.g. in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n04lLVqOEjA

For his gold rings you can buy polystyrene ones in various sizes online - just paint with about 5 layers of PVA glue and then you can spraypaint (don't spray without putting the PVA on first, you'll melt the styrene!)

For the hair, there's lots of tutorials online for cutting bald caps to shape and covering them with latex to blend them in, (e.g. http://www.graftobian.com/commerce/hints.jsp?id=1221) and they're pretty cheap. You can then buy a premade black braid and sew it in, so you don't need to use your own hair (saves you cutting a hole in the bald cap which will ruin the fit). If the bald cap doesn't stay on so well when the braid's attached you can buy Prosaide and a remover to glue it to your forehead and temples so it doesn't go anywhere.

Hope that helps, and best of luck - always good to see more League cosplay!
