Hi All!
Hi. I'm a Bristol based guy very interested at doing cosplay. Completely new to all this and kinda nervous about it all.

Saying that I have seen loads of freaking awesome costumes here so I thought this would be a good place to start.

Greetings!

Cosplay is amazing amounts of fun. You've made a great choice in deciding to give it a try, and coming here is a good first step

I highly recommend starting a list/file/folder of characters that you love (with pictures where possible). Then when you prepare to make your first costume, you have a selection to consider already!

EDIT: Also, male cosplayers are significantly rarer than female ones. Welcome aboard brother! (Don't be fooled by my user name or pictures )

Thanks PandoraCaitiff! Uploading ideas now! I have to admit though if I eventually go to a event I would have to go with a group. no way am I going on my own yet!

Also admittedly I have no idea how to make any form of costume so unless there are local cos-players that can teach me I'm gonna have to buy them.

Groups are a great way to make new friends too! Most of the cosplayers I call friends I met first through meet-ups at large events.

And there's nothing wrong with buying costumes. You can also modify regular clothes for some costumes. That's less of a task than making the whole thing from scratch
