Binding Chest (Female-Male)
Hi guys,

I cosplay a lot of males characters as well as female characters. I have a chest binder made by the awesome Sephirayne...which is really good.

But no matter how tightly I have it, you can still tell I'm female and that there's something there.

I was just wondering is there a way to try and hide that, maybe wrap something around me to make it look the same as the rest of me.

It's just so annoying as I feel it ruining the look of my outfit ¬.¬

Have you looked at trans FTM sites? There's lots of useful information:

Maybe try a combination of sports bra, then binder, then a compression vest? It might be a bit uncomfortable, but if you aren't doing it all the time I don't think it would cause any long term issues or anything.

I've tried quite a few binders for cosplay and re-enactment.

I don't think anything beats duct-tape for getting rid of unwanted bulges. It's uncomfortable, hot and sticky - but if you can tolerate it I'd give it a shot. In one of my binders that I managed to break (fighting with it on put too much strain on part of it) I duct-taped over the top, but it may ruin the binder (i.e. leave a sticky mess over it), but you could put an old camisole on over the binder and bind on top of that.

Anyway, give it a go sometime - do try it some time before you intend to wear the cosplay because you may find it uncomfortable.

You'll be able to put the tape on more effectively with a friend helping.

Everything I've read has said never use duct tape for binding as it has no give, so it can cause real damage and problems, constricting breathing and all sorts.

Very much this! Realistically if you have an average to large bust you're never going to get it completely flat. It's better to have a little bit of imperfection than to do something that might permanently damage you!

So much response...thank you everyone ^_^

The link is very helpful so thanks for that I will look into those ideas.

I know I won't have it completely flat...which is so annoying...but I know safety is the best policy ^_^
