Change at home/hotel or at venue?
I'm going to LFCC in July and my hotel is literally around the corner from the venue, i'm wondering if its worth just getting into my costume at the hotel and brave walking to earls court 2, what do you normally do?

If you’re staying within walking distance of the venue then I would get changed at the hotel - it’s one of the main benefits of booking a local hotel after all.

If you're concerned then will there be a group of fellow cosplayers you can walk there with?

Do it! Don't be worried, you get used to walking around in costume if you cosplay a lot, and you say it's not very far from the venue so that's good tio! Plus then people can see your fabulous costume

Personally Id defiantly put the costume on at the hotel as it would save bag space. Alot of people will be arriving in costume at the event so there shouldnt be anything to worry about as its so close Carrying loads of bags at events would be no fun at all XD

The best way around it all would be to go in a group to the event

Agreeing with the others - changing at the hotel will be better. It's close by and having changed at venues before myself, it's a lot nicer to get your costume all sorted out at home

If you are not comfortable walking in cosplay to the venus, I suggest doing both! Put on whatever you can at the hotel and wear a larger coat over it, put on things like the shoes/ accessories when you get there.

Thats what I normally do with longer journeys. When I cosplayed as Sailor Jupiter at J-con last year I wore a jacket over the fuku and popped the accesories on while on the train as I was with friends.

I've had a few outfits where i've been a little...underdressed for public, so I tend to wear tracksuit pants and flat shoes, big coat on top then once im inside, put my coat and pants in a bag, then change into my shoes and extra bits. Plus its nice to have on hand for if the temperature drops/it rains at the end of the con.
