I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and so all of my cosplay plans for Aya-con have had to be scrapped so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for cosplays i could do when i'm near popping point.
currently my only idea is neo queen serenity since it'll be light-weight and vaguely comfy.
so yeah, any thoughts?

I'm not too sure what things you're into (games/anime/etc.) so forgive me for only giving anime cosplay suggestions - although I did hear about a Lulu person from Final Fantasy X-2...
Kurenai or Kushina from Naruto! (Yes, I'm not being very creative...)
Or maybe Nagisa from Clannad (After Story)?
Sorry I'm not very open-minded... Hope this helps anyway! Best wishes!

I was in the same boat last year, so I completely feel your pain on this!
I'd second the Amidala suggestion, but a couple of other options could be:
[+] Amy Pond (Pregnant Version!)
[+] Pema (Avatar: Legend of Korra)
[+] Lucrecia Crescent (Final Fantasy VII)
You could always put a slant on a non-pregnant character and just run with that too. I personally, and somewhat foolishly, opted to prance around as Batgirl while in the family way, and ended up having contractions for most of Expo weekend! So I'd definitely say comfort should be the biggest decider in all of this. (And congrats btw!)

It's not going to be original - but it does have a degree of both awesomeness and practicality...

Gratz on being pregnant ^^ and my suggestion would be, if you like Kiki's Delivery Service then Osono
Also Totoro has a round middle ^^
And I like the above suggestions too!
You could also do one of those 'painted belly' things if you felt up to it (you know where they have a painting on their belly, you might be able to mix that into a costume)!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions here (I'm her sister, and the one that'll end up making these costumes).
Afireinsidegirl- she does have a Totoro kigu, but it might be a little tight by then .
Currently we're thinking Neo Queen Serenity, Nana Komatsu and something based off Ariel's dress when she introduces Melody to the Merpeople.
I've been trying to get her to cosplay Chicha from Emporer's new groove but she's having none of it.

Oooh this is amazing! I'm pregnant too (30 weeks) and have just finished my cosplay for MCM London next week.
I only found out that I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago, and most of the costume was already paid for/complete, so I just decided to carry on with it in a maternity style. It's just a shame that I hadn't found out sooner, otherwise I would have done something more creative.
If you're going to be showing a lot by then, my instinct would be to do something funny that would draw attention to it. Some ideas I had that I wish I had more time to go ahead with were:
The night sky with your bump as the Death Star
Red Dwarf with your bump as Starbug (no idea how it can be pulled off but it would have been funny!)
I did a quick google search for pregnancy costumes and found a great zombie with a zombie-baby arm sticking out of the bump.
I just uploaded the pics of my pregnant Emmy Altava costume if you'd like to see the sort of thing I did. It's not very interesting but I think it works!
