Help with Thor's Armor
Hi,
For as long as Thor has been in film I have wanted to recreate his armor and after seeing the latest variant I couldn't hold in my desire any longer.

This is the armor variant and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas/tips on how to make it?
It would be most appreciated as I am very new to the whole concept.

Hey there! I've done Thor's Dark World costume myself. I made the armour from polymorph and used velcro to attach it. It can be a tricky material to use, but it all depends on what you're good at. A friend of mine has also done a version of Thor using craft foam and then I know people that have used sintra and worbla which have come out looking screen accurate.

My costume is here and I think there's a few journal entries that might help you out: http://www.cosplayisland.co.uk/costume/view/74629 It all depends on what sort of an approach you want to take, but that's how I did mine.

Good luck, mate! :]

I think you'll have excellent results with craft foam. I got mine from an arts shop for just over a quid an A4 sheet, but I was in a hurry so didn't look for the best price.

It's brilliant stuff as you just hold it over a heat source and mould it around a glass or whatever mould and as it cools it takes the shape. I made my Sif armour like that (even if I couldn't get it to sit properly!)
