Fixing up / maintaining a long wig
Hello. I've never dealt with long wigs before, so I'm hoping for some advice.

I have a Sailor Moon wig that has already become very frizzy near the bottoms of the pigtails. I haven't even officially worn it yet; I've just tried it on a few times. I'm not sure how to smooth it all out. Brushing it seems to make the situation worse. I'm wondering if I could wet it and slather it with hair gel or some other hair product to try and keep it smooth, but I don't want to ruin the thing. It's made of "heat resistant fiber." What do you think?

3-In-1 Silicone Spray.

I got mine on Ebay, it's honestly magic at de-tangling wigs.

Post about it here:

For me, no matter how tangled a wig has gotten, this stuff has smoothed it out no problem.

As for maintaining it, I carry a wig brush around during all conventions I attend.
I brush the wig out during the day which keeps it basically perfect for photos. A quick brush whenever I was stopped for photos kept it perfect.
Any major tangles you get anyway during the day can then be smoothed out with the spray at home before you put your wig away.
