Event Description
From Saturday to Sunday the 24th and 25th March 2012, Sunderland will be hosting SunnyCon the Sunderland Japanese Culture and Anime convention. This will be the first convention of its’ type in the city and offers a weekend of various fun events. There will be a look at Japanese culture with language tasters and panels from culture experts over the weekend. Also there will be a video gaming area featuring tournaments and prizes as well as a dealer’s area with specialist traders who sell Japanese related goods and anime merchandise. Also for the convention we have special guest appearances over the weekend with guests from expert cosplayers through to manga and art experts along with internationally famous voice actors.
