| The Iraqi-Kurdish sharpshooter of the FOXHOUND unit, who uses a Heckler & Koch PSG1. Though snipers usually work in pairs, Sniper Wolf works alone. She is also another "disciple" of Big Boss, the antagonist from the previous two Metal Gear games. During the takeover, she apparently took pity on Otacon, allowing him to feed the huskies and giving him a handkerchief. Otacon became infatuated with her and was devastated by her death. In Metal Gear Solid she fights Snake twice, the first time results in Meryl being captured, and Snake being tortured, in the second battle she is killed. She is referenced in MGS4 by Otacon as a wolf comes to carry away a defeated Crying Wolf implying that the wolf represents her spirit. She is also apparently addicted to the muscle relaxant Diazepam. She is only seen taking it once, but a later dialogue by Ocelot implies that she uses it quite often and it may have prevented FOXDIE from killing her. Her Kurdish ancestry is also the reason her code name is Wolf. Costume was updated for May Expo 2010. | |

Elbow pads and patches (Posted 22nd May 2010) Finished elbow pads, worn over the black elbow patches. |

Elbow pads (Posted 19th May 2010) The elbow pads look white in the original sketch but grey in the updated screen shots. White looked too stark against the uniform so I sprayed them with grey spray paint and rubbed some of the shine away with sandpaper to give them more of a matt finish. They slip over the elbow patches and overall they are much easier to wear than the old ones. |

Choker and buckle (Posted 1st May 2010) Altered the choker I use for my Julia cosplay and added a small buckle that I sprayed chrome. |

Finished jacket and zip (Posted 19th April 2010) I bought a 19.5'' long zip and attached it to the jacket. To give it a better shape, I took in the sides to make it more fitting. I'll be using tape to keep the edges of the jacket from revealing the bra. |

Utility belt and pouch (Posted 19th April 2010) I already had the belt and a spare pouch from airsofting, it had to be altered a lot, since she wears it so high up on the waist. |

Elbow patches (Posted 19th April 2010) I used the same fabric as the knee patches and I still need to modify some tactical elbow pads. |

Collar (Posted 19th April 2010) The collar was simple enough to do, I used interfacing on the back panel to keep it straight. |

Patrol Boots (Posted 19th April 2010) Same boots I bought for airsofting and recycled from my Meryl and Jill cosplay. |

Jacket pockets (Posted 19th April 2010) Pockets sewn to jacket, made the same way as the ones on the trousers. I found I didn't have an appropriate button so I glued on one half of a black press stud instead since I didn't make the pockets functional. |

Pockets/knee patches (Posted 18th April 2010) The pockets are sewn over the black patches by a couple of inches as seen in the ref images. I chose stretch grey/blue polyester in the end rather than green or olive green to closer match her uniform. |

Trouser Pockets (Posted 15th April 2010) Easily made, ironed the creases into them before sewing the edges. they will be fitted so that they cross over the black knee patches by a couple of cm. |

Knee and elbow patches (Posted 15th April 2010) I needed something that looked like soft pleather but could only find the upholstery type, so being on a budget I cut up some wet look leggings and used black fabric spray to dull the shiney tacky surface. The fabric remained soft and since no sewing was needed they slip over the uniform easily. |

Nice one, good timing. Stupid laws. Im a big airsofter and own many guns but have yet to find any use for them in cosplay :(
Im one of these nice people that will buy them for people without a licence, since thats the loop hole which is stupid.
But yeah great sniper wolf. And awsome psg1, ive been trying to get one for ages but they are like gold dust now, so keep hold of it, they sell second hand for like £500.

Thanks Sean, personally I don't think its good enough or interesting enough a costume to take to a con, I wouldn't use it without the PSG-1 anyway and I think it will be frowned upon if I took that out in public!

Too awesome, one of the rare occasions when Sniper Wolf is cosplayed well. How are you going to carry the airsoft sniper around as it's difficult to conceal?
Thanks and if I end up taking it I'll be mostly carrying it around in a rifle bag until I want to take some photo's and it comes with a blaze tip anyway.
