I was going to ask what material you used, it looks really good for the uniform, totally grabbed my attention.

Power supply box (Posted 9th August 2010)

I created a small box from some packaging for the battery holder, leaving it open at the top to be able to change the batteries and to get access to the button.

Power supply (Posted 9th August 2010)

I spray painted the clear box black to match the back of the prop and fixed it into place so that it holds the battery box. The wire will be taped down around the box and the rest has been hidden between layers on the sleeve.

EL wire (Posted 9th August 2010)

The wire was glued around the outside edges.

EL wire and prop (Posted 9th August 2010)

The finished effect.

Back section (Posted 28th July 2010)

This latex/paint free area of plastazote on the back of the prop will be where the sleeve will be fixed into place.

Sleeve (Posted 28th July 2010)

I created a sleeve from a pair of old black leggings, I used one leg and trimmed it down to size and made it tighter to fit over one sleeve of the uniform and my arm. This will be fixed into place on the back of the prop.

Layer of latex (Posted 2nd July 2010)

It took me an hour to apply a layer of black coloured latex to the front alone. To keep costs down only a thin layer was used that will be sprayed with a gloss black to get a better nonporous finish.

Red EL Wire (Posted 22nd June 2010)

8m of this will be fixed around the edge of the shadow arm, its powered by a small battery source that I'll hide at the back.

Shadow arm 3 (Posted 20th June 2010)

Finished cutting out the design, next will be too fix on the sleeve so that I can wear it on my arm.

Shadow arm 2 (Posted 19th June 2010)

Began to cut out the shapes, here you can see the red EL wire I''l be using around the edges. It will need a sleeve added to the back for me to wear it on my arm and I'll be sealig the foam with black latex and possible spraying that with black gloss.

Shadow arm 1 (Posted 19th June 2010)

So I decided to remake the demon/shadow arm, this time using red EL wire to recreate the look seen in the OVA. This time it would be a lot smaller and much lighter to pose with. I used a large 20mm plastazote sheet and designed and cut out a stencil first.
