| Ever since I first saw the press release about this game from Namco Bandai more than a year ago, I vowed to myself I will buy an Xbox 360 for this game. And I have decided to cosplay Chopin before I even played the game! Seriously... the costume designs in this game are just absolutely gorgeous... Cloak - Commission piece. I painted the silver trim and the pattern on the back of the cloak with some Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint (Pearl). Also did some "hand embroidery work" on the white collar and attached a short gold chain onto the back. The massive "pendant" decoration that is hanging on the back of the cloak is mostly made out of epoxy putty. The whole thing is attached to the cloak by a combination of fabric glue and sewing threads. The cloak fastener is made out of wire with some Modelight slabbed onto it. The brooch is made out of a combination of cardboard, mod-roc and Modelight. Coat - Commission piece. Again, painted the silver trim at the bottom of the coat with some Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint (Pearl). Stitched on a couple of small pieces of fabric for the fastenings to hold onto. The rope-like thing that acts like a belt is some curtain trimmings I bought from John Lewis, painted brown with some fabric paint. On the back of the coat there are 2 heart shaped buckles made out of some (leftover) epoxy putty. The pocket watch is made out of styrofoam (and a clear PVC sheet stuck onto the clock face) Shirt - Commission piece. Not much customization on the shirt itself but the jabot needed a bit of work since originally it was attached to the shirt by the use of a safety pin... I stitched it onto a piece of fabric that act as the collar and stitched some lace onto the edges of the jabot to make it look.... prettier~ *dies* "Shirt extension" - This frilly skirt-like thing is modified from a plain white skirt that I bought from H&M. I cut the bottom half of the skirt off at an angle and stitched some lace onto the edge. Then painted the blue gradient with fabric paint. Pants - Commission piece. I am now waiting for the gold metallic braid I just bought from Ebay to arrive so I could work on decorating them.... UPDATE on 25/03/08: The pocket watch of doom is finally done!!! Now I can move on to work on the cane! And possibly remake the top hat... and add more deco on the pants... | |

Wow! This is looking really good! Can't wait to see it finished! ^___^
I think I am being roped into being Jazz for a ES group at some point. It's the only one I can really pull off... :(
Oh wow it's looking sooooooooo good. I'm getting all fangirly just looking at it. I want to get some pictures of you Xx
Seriously cool!
Definitely been waiting for someone to cosplay him!
And that cane is brilliantly detailed!
Thats looking excellent! :)
Wow! Just wow! I've already said this once but I'll say it again I love your Chopin cosplay! Ever since I saw Eternal Sonata I've always wanted to cosplay as Chopin myself... Purely because he plays the piano and is a composer like I am XD [wanna-be composer xP] So be warned if I ask you for random advice XD
I so can't wait to see this at the expo now! X3
My favourite composer... plus the costume looks totally amazing!
OMG! this is so accurate! i cant wait to see it finished!! i really hope you decide to wear it to the london expo october. ^_^
Too good! Too good! We are not worthy! Auuugh!

Woah this is infinately bad@ass. *_*
Dude why did you tell me your 3d was rubbish? LIAR!
Woooooooow!
This is looking amazing!
WOW! I've started playing ES and I can finally appreciate the characters more. Your Frederic cosplay is stunning. It's so accurate and I cannot believe how wonderful it is! I really look forward to seeing this completed!
That latest photo of it looks amazing. You're making me nervous when I think about trying to make the costume myself-- you've definitely set a high standard for Chopin cosplayers. ^^
I hope you don't mind if I bug you slightly regarding some of the tougher parts, especially the props. ^^;
@Redkun: You have got to be kidding! I'm sure your costume would turn out much better than mine! I did not do most of the sewing myself... because I know with my pathetic sewing skills I would not be able to do the original design any justice! My effort are on the customization of the "base costume" and all the accessories/prop making ^^;
And feel free to ask me anything regarding the props but I'm not sure how much help I would be... since most of it are actually result of trial and error XD
you look awesome! :D wish I could have been to May expo ;_; from what i hear sounds like expo was pretty good.
Uwaaah, I can't believe I missed you too! D8
Your Chopin is too awesome!
Your costume and Lina's photography skills = mega win 8D

I Love This Game The Outfits Are So Nice Too.
I Can't Believe What A Great Job You Did, The First Chopin Cosplay I've Seen And It's Amazing!! =)

As I said before, was VERY impressed! You did a great job on all the small details and you must show me how you made yr sword (I know you explained it to me but I forgot >_<;)
This cos is Fantasmo
A true real life representation of the character
This is probably the best Chopin I have ever seen! REALLY well done!
I am so happy I got to see this at Expo :D You make an excellent Chopin and you put so much effort into the details. Wonderful stuff!
