| I made the first (and very simple) version of this costume for the Elf Fantasy Fair in the Netherlands in 2005, because I had been to the Fair in 2004 and had seen everyone walking around in costume and wanted to do that too. I'd already done some living history things with relatives, and this seemed like a cool fantasy version. ;) And seen as though I love the Lord of the Rings, and the rangers are my favourite characters, this was the first costume I thought of! Since 2005 I've been changing parts of it, adding bits and generally improving it. I don't have pictures yet of the very latest version, but these photos from 2008 are pretty close. My favourite parts of the costume are the vambraces, the arrows and the sword. Those were the most fun to make, and really add to the feel of the costume. I love wearing it! | |

Whoa hey hey hey!!! LoTR called, they want their proffesional costume designer back!! XD, seriously nice detailed work there, superb finish to the cosplay, looks as though you could go out fighting in the wilderness now and that cosplay would last a life time.

You look just like the real thing XD
It's so well made and realistic looking...it looks so sturdy too.
Thank you for all the comments! :D
This costume was made with two things in mind: that it'd look realistic and that it would be comfortable enough for me to feel like I could actually wear it every day! That's partially the reasons for the layers; the first time I wore it in April it was too cold.
