Mizore was very fun to wear ^^ I didn't get many pictures taken though. I have a couple that my friend took of me which I'm waiting to get from her and then when it snows next (well, maybe sooner, i dont think we'll have snow for a while) I'll take some nicer ones.

Finally getting some work done XD (Posted 27th January 2010)

So after a good half a year, I start work on this again XD
Bought all the material today and have cut out the pattern for the skirt (forgot to buy a zip >.<). I couldn't quite find the right material, so I've got one that's the right colour and then some fabric paint to add the checked pattern. I'm gonna need to be really careful =s I'm not the best at staying in the lines xD
After the fabrics paint's dry, I can hem the bottom and start on the pleats. Hooray ^.^

feh (Posted 14th June 2009)

i decided i wanted to start my ice claw over. It was going ok. But the way I was going to do them was too tedious and wouldn't have worked all that well in the later stages. I've figured a much better way of doing it. I've also started on a prototype of Mizore's belt thing so I know exactly how much material I'll need.

Marbles (Posted 5th June 2009)

I asked my sister if I could have 6 of her marbles. She was dead against it until I suggested I give her 30p for them (5p per marble =/). I'm going to be using them for the little balls that dangle from her sleeves and skirt. They're glass marbles, so I need to paper mache them before I can paint them yellow. I was considering different ways to make them, but I think this way will work best and give the roundest finish.

Ice claws are a-go (Posted 5th June 2009)

So I figured out a way of making the ice claw. I haven't a clue if it'll work out or not. Cross your fingers for me ^^; The basic frame is done. It doesn't look anything like ice yet but at least they resemble claws and are in the right positions. I can move my fingers when the claw is on my hand too ^^ (sorta ^^;)
I started off with a glove and then attached different lengths of wire to each finger. I covered those with newspaper and then positioned them to look like the reference pictures I have.
It was really hard. The claw does on my right hand and because I had to be wearing it when I was positioning it, and had to keep taking it on and off when I was adding the wire and newspaper, it meant using my left hand for a lot of things (I'ma Righty).
