Description
My second costume where my face can actually be seen. I was looking for an easy low stress project for the second day on Oct London Expo '07 after the very stressful and labor intensive Galaxy Railways project. Decided to do FMA with Water-Clone who was doing his awesome Major Alex Armstrong and thought that I should have a go at doing my own favorite character from the series Major Maes Hughes, the head of Special Investigations Division.

The costume was bought from the same place Water-Clone got his from (CosplayMagic) so we could be sure they would color match. I then dyed my hair black (I'd been meaning to it for ages anyway!) Then borrowed a pair of glasses that resembled the type used by Hughes and commissioned Water-Clone who runs PSUK to make me Hughes fighting knives (Push Blades). The blades were very important as I hadn't seen a Hughes cosplay that used them before.

I was really happy with how it all came together in the end and it was my first attempt at cosplaying a character from a 'popular' series, it was well received and was fun to do so I may use it again in future.
