Shirt and Jacket (Posted 25th March 2014)

Almost finished the jacket, just need to sew the last sleeve hem, the front, and hem. Then I'll need to make Survey Corps patches.

Fabric Dyeing (Posted 18th March 2014)

Bought some fabric dye to dye an old white shirt I never wear, managed to get it a light golden yellow colour. Way cheaper than buying fabric.

More Progress, Painting (Posted 15th March 2014)

Started painting everything with a base coat of black, and started painting the dummy blades silver. I'll be going over everything with Mod Podge, but I still need to buy it. Hoping to get everything painted before the end of the month, and the section that goes around the hips done too.

More 3DMG Progress (Posted 14th March 2014)

Until I get the jacket fabric, this is what I'll be working on, and it's more than halfway done. It's mostly painting I need to do now.

Paper mache-ing the back fan and the nozzles on the bottles, which I used toilet roll tubes for. Made fake blades and painted them black as a kind of primer.

!!! (Posted 11th March 2014)

Back fan is basically finished, needs smoothing out.

Back Fan (Posted 11th March 2014)

Following this semi tutorial (http://living-for-the-sake-of-it.blogspot.sg/2013/08/shingeki-no-kyojin-...) for the back fan, very useful. I was fretting over how I was going to do it tbh, this helped loads.

hnng (Posted 10th March 2014)

Finally I almost have the boxes and the canisters done, they just need to be smoothed over, and then painted (and I'm going to attach everything once the box is painted just so it's easier)

Ordered a belt to attack the back fan and the harness onto, and got interfacing for the jacket. Coming along well.

More foam board... (Posted 9th February 2014)

I took apart the wire dispenser thingies to make them more accurate, and used foam for the cylindrical insert. Remaking the boxes from foam board because the cardboard one is pretty beat up, but it was useful for measurements. I added dense foam behind the slits in the box, so you can't see inside the box once the blades are in place, and it should help to keep them in place (I'm only having 2 proper blades, the rest will just show the end and be inserted into the box, no point in making them full blades)

Still have to figure out the gas canisters.

Mechanism Progress (Posted 7th February 2014)

Started on the wire mechanism part, doing the anime version so it's a bit harder. Foam board is pretty easy to cut, the circles have a diameter of 13cm. The rectangles have a length of 6.5cm, but that is a bit too long for some so I'm going to have to cut them once the glue has dried.

FOAM BOARD (Posted 7th February 2014)

Got my foam board today, my friend is having half of it but this means I can start on my 3DMG proper!

3DMG (Posted 23rd November 2013)

Just cut the boxes to length for the blade holders, not sure if it's too big or not but it seems ok. Will need to strengthen the cardboard with foamcore or something similar.

Makeup test (Posted 21st November 2013)

Did a simple makeup test, happy with this tbh, but might have to tweak it when I get her glasses instead of using mine.

Ponytails are hard (Posted 19th November 2013)

Finished floofing up the ponytail, still need to cut it to the correct length but I think the top is finished. Added floof hides the clip too.

Wig Styling (Posted 16th November 2013)

Got my wig a few weeks ago, and started styling the front so it's a bit messier and less flat. Need to completely mess the ponytail up Hanji style.
