|The outfits were all made to match with the main fabric being foil lycra. Though in order to get the right colours we used three different types of foil across the group.|
Tecna's bodysuit is custom patterned and handless because that's what she wanted. The hat was made by Bexibeans and is done with papier mache with everything else glued on top. The wings are lycra, wadding and garden wire that slot in through the back and are held in place by bra straps under the main suit :)
Musa's is made with red foil lycra and red stretch mesh. It's in two parts, a leotard where the bust is the asymetric top in foil lycra and the rest is mesh. The skirt is a separate piece and is actually a skort because it has shorts sewn into the same waistband. We made it in two parts to make sure the mesh stayed stretched and look good rather than riding up or twisting.
Aisha's is lime foil lycra and emerald wet look lycra. The green foil lycra is ever so slightly a blue emerald and looked bad next to the lime green foil.
All the charmix broaches were made using resin gems, painted in glass paints and set into silver sprayed fimo.
Musa's charmix was built onto a circular bag, Aisha's was made from scratch and Tecna's was made using foam to make the front and then made 3D and is hollow inside.
We had to make boot covers for Aisha as money could not be spared to buy lime green gogo boots. So they were made with lime and white PVC. Admittedly they benefited because they could be made slightly more accurate but there we go.
