|* Hanna Falk Cross - HiNaBN - London MCM Expo October 2010|
To go with Miiol's Zombie and Zomboi's Doc Worth. Also because if you know me, you will know how spookily alike Hanna is to me. The things he says and does are frequently the same as the things I do and the words that come out of my mouth hole, all the time...
These are also clothes that I just wear anyway... some of which I already owned...
*Malik/Marik Ishtar - Battle City - Yu-Gi-Oh! - Aya Revolution 2009
I gave Zomboi a 'Super Ticket' meaning that he could choose one of my costumes for a con we'd both be attending and I'd have to do it, even if it was complicated, revealing or a serise/character I didn't like (with the proviso of NOT Naruto). This is the cosplay he chose for me.
We had fun times at Aya dressed as Battle City Bakura and Malik respectively. :)
It's not one I'd have chosen to do of my own accord, but fun to make anyway.
Accidentally put the first eyelet thing in the wrong way, but think I got away with it by doing it's partner the same way then the bottom two the right way. Typical, you do the test one right then get the actual one wrong. lol.
All bling is made from painted craftfoam, the earrings are also papier macheed.
*Sebastian Michaelis - Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) - Aya Revolution 2009
Raine and Zomboi mentioned this anime/manga to me with the addition of "you'll love it so you should cosplay it". They know me so well. I'm not sure how well this character will actually suit me, but when has/will that ever stop me?
I've already got a black tie and some gloves (and a grey waistcoat that'd be easy to mod if I go for that version). Might even have some similar shoes kicking about so it'd be fairly simple to put together, mod a tailcoat, get a shirt (useful for a number of other cosplays) and make the accessories.
NB. 2014: I actually didn't read the manga until after I'd cosplayed this and I did not like it at all. I was seduced by the tailcoat and I now don't cosplay things without finding out what they are first because of this.
*Shuichi Shindo - Gravitation - Auchinawa 2008:
I love Gravitation a lot, but I prefer the manga to the anime. I love Shuichi and I want a pink wig. It's as simple as that. Plus, much as I love the concert outfit, everybody does it, so I'm going plainclothes. lol. Pretty much everything was easy, it's not a very complex costume and I found stuff in charity shops/my own wardrobe without much trouble. The shorts aren't exactly the right shade and the material didn't fray as easily as I had hoped, so it's not really accurate, but, meh... I have worn this to Sin's 18th, Coscot meets and the photoshoot at Angelphies by Redkun. It is very comfortable. :)
Reworn at Auchinawa 2008.
*Soubi Agatsuma - Loveless - Auchinawa 2008
A last minute closet job for the July 2007 Cosplay Scotalnd Loveless group. The wig is innaccurate because I didn't have time to order one, so I just used my Alice wig, which has ringlets. My height was a bit of a problem. Even wearing my really big shoes (dolly ones, so I had to hide the fact with black socks and flared jeans) I was only 5ft 7-ish and shorter than my (yes Raine, you're mine now, moohahaa!) Youji. Posing for yaoi/attempting to be pervy was fun... kinda just managed to be cute though. I discovered that quite a lot of people didn't like Soubi much, but that after seeing me as him they thought he was less scary or something. lol. Breathing/eating with the tension bandage around my neck was difficult, made even worse when also wearing the cat collar. lol. I had a lot of fun wearing it, but I want to do it properly eventually.
Reworn as a last minute replacement for an unfinished costume to Auchinawa 2008.
Hanna shoes (Posted 19th May 2014)
Duct tape cosplay at it's finest aka "I ain't buying new shoes when I can just put tape on my white ones!"
