Description
This was hauled together in a month like most of our stellar work, along with Dr Eggman.

The main focus of this costume is that I wanted to make it out of something really battle worthy, something that Ivy would be proud to wear. I find looking at other Ivy's that the main fault with their costume is they use something like Spandex as their body suit fabric, and that's just too shiney for my taste.

PVC was also out because I hate the stuff. And so, I ordered £200 worth of purple and black italian leather from the internet.

I am such a cock when it comes to using expensive fabrics, I swear.

I'd never used leather before, ever, but like all things cosplay and me, I decided that I would just learn. Fortunately my £200 sewing machine is stupidly high powered, and could go through leather like beautiful, beautiful butter.

The boobs aren't real. I'm sorry to say. They look real though, so that's all that counts. They were made by buying a bra (from Primark!) and sewing the leather directly over the top and cutting it into the right shape. There's a lot of padding stuffed in there too.

The shoes had to be made from a pair of 4 inch sandles from TK Max. I needed to get to 6 inches, so I added wood on the bottom, ducktaped them and covered them in leather. And glued soles on the bottom. They get me to exactly Ivy's height (I calculated it using references and ratios ^^; ). I took the platforms off later because I decided that I wanted to be able to run properly in this. I lost 2 inches, but it still seemed to work.

All the body suit and that was made from a pattern I constructed, and then sewn with the leather. Most of the armour attachments that have to be bent are funky foam, even though I hate the stuff.

All of the other armour, like the glove are mount board. I FUCKIN' LOVE MOUNTBOARD.

The gloves had to be handsewn (AND WERE RIGHT WANKERS) and I had to learn how to cast resin gems for the gem on the hand and the sword.

The sword is mountboard again, and actually retracts properly when I pull the cord at the back. It makes me feel special, and makes others get funny feelings in thier no-no places.

The sword has broken many times though, which makes me sad.

Wow, that's brilliant!
£300 to make though, that must have been a pain.

And please let me stress that I am 100% straight, however, you have a lovely bum. Well suited for Ivy XD.

You should try her SCIV costume sometime, despite it being even more skimpy... T.T

Liking my bum still makes you 100% straight. It's amazing what you can do with the right corset.

I'm not going to do SCIV Ivy, mainly because it's impossible to make fake boobs for that costume. No undersupport or way to conceal them.

i love this costume, you got such a beutifull finnish with that leather. was it practical to wear?

Leather is comfortable to wear, but the nature of the costume is rather impractical. I'm pretty much trussed up in there so it makes it awkward, but if it's a comfortable design then it will be comfortable to wear.

I believe you wore this at expo right? Was it October 2008 or May 2009?
In any case, my word if I didn't know you were a guy I'd have thought you were a woman in this. Amazing.
