|This is my princess Zelda cosplay - I chose the blue version because I was thinking of the dark version (though not completely happy with the colour scheme) and just came across this version and fell in love! plus, darker colours suit me better!|
The hardest part by far was the bodice - I had never made a top before and it took ages to hammer out the pattern so it fitted nicely... the armour was time consuming but not actually all that difficult surprisingly! (though took ages to seal the craft foam!)
Another mini nightmare was the panel - tried to use transfer paper but just wouldnt stick - ended up peeling off the transfer and sticking it on with fabric glue- and in the con it started coming off!
The easiest part would be the skirt surprisingly - pattern came out perfect first time (used a calculator to work out ratios and lots of measurements) - the designs were painted on using a freezer paper stencil.
What I learnt it that you dont know until you try, and craft foam/freezer paper are awesome!!!!!
Wearing it was good, pretty comfortable, though armour got crushed a bit glomping giant Kyo - sooooo worth it! Decorative belt kept turning round and the gloves weren't good though... but in general soooo happy, and am now planning an alternative dark version!!
