|Ahhhh...Honestly i've been through a lot with this costume before i've even uploaded it. xD|
I wanted to cosplay Merida instantly after I saw the film. Then I got all intimidated, then other things put me off and now i'm right back at dying to do it again. I think it's the hair. It calls me.
But yes I'm FINALLY uploading this after much deliberation, mainly cause if it's up here I'm more likely to do it.
Will be for 2014. But I may start making it after expo. :D
EDIT: Now planned for Manchester expo 2014
EDIT: NOW DONE and I should have updated this ages ago. I used a heavy wool for the dress, I had to go for the more green shade in the end simply because of availability, but I love what I found for it. The ruffles were made from chiffon backed with linen. The wig was another monster entirely. It's a lace front wig from Arda that I added two packs of long wefts to then I sat and hand curled the whole thing with a curling iron. Insane? Probably...but I love the result! :3
Thanks so much for the showcase omgosh. <3
Bow and Quiver (Posted 1st July 2014)
This was made by in your dreams fx. I was keen to get the sort of 'rough' 'authentic' feel to it and I'm delighted with the results! :3 Con safe as well. ^^
Complete! (Posted 22nd June 2014)
I decided against the eyelets and just took it in a whole lot...Turns out I can still get into it by contorting my body so it saved a lot of fuss. xD
But it's done yay! Just the wig of doom to go now...
More dress progress (Posted 21st June 2014)
I worked on my Merida dress all day today! It's slowly getting there. Just need to add the ruffles around the sleeves and neckline and add ALL THE EYELETS to the back of it!
