The Joker VS Jason Voorhees

Costume Information

Cost : 659
Awards : None
Time Taken : 2 years

How the Costume came together?
It has taken me 2 years to complete this Jason Voorhees costume. I went through 3 remake under masks, to get to the right undermask that I wanted. The first attempt at this costume was a rushed job back in 2011. Back in 2010 I did a half assed job I put together for a VS jason costume

I took the costume to MCM Excel in May 2014, it was a blast

The costume is complete now, it was awesome building up this costume to what you see today.

Date and end date of when the costume was started and finished
August 2011 - OCT 2014

Only pieces left from the original costume I had in 2011, was? the upper part of the jacket, the metal horse bit and leg belt from the Holster. The rest of the costume has seen an overhaul

Info on the pieces?
The hockey mask - 'Masquerade of Fear Custom Shop of Ebay
The Undermask - Jeremy Bohr
The clothing - Josh Ludemann aka (Crazydog500) of Beyond disgusting studious
The Holster - David Ferrari of Facebook of robin and magpie leather
The Machete - DJK Costumes and Props
Boots and reins - got it off Ebay

Any questions, just PM me on how to contact them if you are after a Jason costume like Myn. I will get back to you has quickly as possible, on where to get these pieces, or any pieces from these artists of any version of Jason that you want

I dunno much about the Friday the 13th my friend played a practical joke on me on Halloween saying I'm a walking dead guy. I hit him whilst screaming for my life until he yelled out "it's a joke". Man he is scary enough dead let alone alive :-3

This costume is officially complete (Posted 29th October 2014)

I was thinking of adding a few accessories to my remake costume, like the axe. But this officially completes my only jason voorhees costume I will ever do. I loved building up all the pieces, finding the right ones, adding a custom piece like the exposed hock, a silicon undermask is officially ruled out now, because of the price. Time to put the spending on this remake costume to a close, and concentrate on other things

Bought new boots (Posted 28th October 2014)

Bought a pair of timberland boots, much nicer to wear and a great lift in height

I added a fan (Posted 1st July 2014)

I added a fan to my costume, to keep me cool when I wear the undermask for long periods, its effective

My machete arrived today (Posted 15th May 2014)

My convention safe screen accurate machete arrived today, it has a bit of a bend to it, but its still perfect. My costume is now set ready for comic con

Machete paid (Posted 11th May 2014)

Paid for my new machete, which is conventional safe, 32 pounds for the machete, 22 pounds for the leather straps and first class shipping costs. That covers the costs for the machete I sold

Machete sold (Posted 9th May 2014)

Sold my dirtnapFX machete, this should cover the costs for my new machete, which can be taken to comic con

The machete is complete (Posted 7th May 2014)

The machete is complete, it will be shipped to someone else, to add the leather straps

New Machete under construction (Posted 26th April 2014)

I searched everywhere, but finally I got someone to make a convention safe remake Machete, it should be finished soon. So this should complete my costume for comic con

Adding another remake hock, the exposed one (Posted 26th April 2014)

I am looking to buy a new hockey mask, a damaged exposed mask

The Masks returned (Posted 23rd April 2014)

The masks returned, new paint ups, especially the hockey mask which now looks like it was found

The Hockey mask combo shipped for a new paint job (Posted 31st March 2014)

I sent the 2 masks back to get a get new paint job, has it needed some touch ups. I just hope it gets there and returns in time, luckily enough I do have the bagmask version, so it will not be so bad.

The Bagmask is nowhere near iconic or has fun as the hockey-mask combo, which could be a problem to be recognized has Jason Voorhees, the Bagmask is still creepy though. But I can unmask the hockey mask to see a more sinister face underneath the hockey mask, which will scare people and this costume is perfect for comic con like MCM. A bit concerned, but it should get there, fingers crossed

MCM tickets and hotel booked (Posted 27th March 2014)

I have booked everything, so all set now for MCM, hope to get a unique reaction

The costume complete (Posted 26th February 2014)

Now with the holster arriving today, the costume is well and truly completed

Holster arrived today (Posted 26th February 2014)

The holster arrived today, and it's brilliant made holster. And it should never break again, in the way I asked for the leather maker to design it

Holster completed, and shipped out today (Posted 25th February 2014)

Holster was completed today, and it should be with me in a day or 2

A set back with my costume (Posted 20th February 2014)

My holster has completely fallen apart, I will have to buy a new one, has its beyond repair, shame but I found an artist who will make a holster that will be forever repaired.

I sent the parts of my broken holster (Posted 20th February 2014)

I sent parts of my holster that fell apart, that are workable, like the metal horse bit, and the leg belt. But the leather bit itself is unworkable, thrown in the trash can. Just a little more work needed on this costume, and I thought I completed it when I got the bagmask, oh well LOL

The Jason Voorhees jacket (Posted 27th January 2014)

I have done more finishing touches to the jacket, got rid of allot of the ripped pieces on the 2 sides of the jacket, has its not really needed. I have done allot customization to the jacket now, so its fits my needs. Now it looks better than ever, I am delighted with how it has come out

The undermask arrived today (Posted 10th October 2013)

Finally the mask arrived today, looks awesome, much thinner and does not need slitting, with the help of a pillow case which slips my head in. Pics will go up when I get a camera sorted

New under-mask shipped (Posted 28th September 2013)

The under-mask was shipped 2day, I should get it in a few weeks

Undermask sold (Posted 9th September 2013)

Sold my current undermask and replaced it with the same one, but much thinner, which will solve so many problems for me

Boots arrived today (Posted 29th August 2013)

The Boots arrived today, they are perfect. It gives me a 2 inches in height, even though I am already 6 ft 4. Hopefully when the shoelifts arrive, I will hopefully of the height of possibly 6 ft 7, which is a big help for my remake Myers costume, has Tyler mane is 6 ft 9

The belt arrived today (Posted 23rd August 2013)

The belt came in the post today, a great piece to my costume, looks very much like the movie, not perfect but good enough

New undershirt payed for (Posted 19th August 2013)

I will never say the whole costume is complete until I get hold of those hockey mask straps, has I may buy an axe next year. Only 3 pieces left are? the straps with the strap connector, the axe and bagmask.

Black boots/shoes (Posted 17th August 2013)

I need to also get a pair of black boots, been well overdue

Machete piece (Posted 15th August 2013)

My new machete came today, great piece to go along with my remake Jason costume. Unlike my NECA machete, this machete is light, and fits into my holster like a glove, and there is no stress put on the holster when I put the machete in, which it was doing with the NECA version. I am very happy with the way this piece turned out, so close to completing the costume

Bought the new belt (Posted 10th August 2013)

I bought a new belt, not completely movie accuracy, but its close enough. I will weather it, age the belt, may spray the belt gold, but another piece added to the costume.
