| When I started cosplaying, I set myself on a mission to cosplay every single one of Aerith's costumes, because I love her that much. XD; I was looking forward to Crisis Core coming out, especially since I got a PSP for my birthday in 2007. Now that I finally have a copy of FFVII:CC, I want to make Aerith's outfit in it my next Aerith cosplay! And I already have suitable shoes, which, of course, is always a must for cosplay. XD It always starts with the shoes for me. D: _______________ 29/06/2008: This costume is now officially in progress! Either tomorrow or the day after I will be going to the fabric shop, so I'll be buying materials for this costume! I'm really excited to be making another of Aerith's costumes, seeing as I've neglected her for some time now. D: _______________ 30/06/2008: I now have the white material to start my dress! :D I decided to go with the same material that I used for my Simca dress, because while it's slightly see-through, it's lovely to work with and I can line it easily. I didn't get any blue material for the pattern because I haven't yet decided how I'm going to do those parts - I have two methods that I've thought about, but I'm pretty sure I know which one I'll choose. However, I'm gonna make the white base of the dress first, then worry about decorating it when I've finished that! :D _______________ 01/07/2008: Today I've been sewing all day! I've gotten the main part of the dress done; I've just got to hem some bits, add a zip and add straps. After that, I can get started on the lining and decorating the dress! I'm really happy with how it's coming along. ^_^ _______________ 04/07/2008: After working all afternoon, I've pretty much finished all of the white part of the dress! :D All I need to do now is add a zip, and possibly make it a bit shorter. I'm still undecided on whether I want to make it a bit shorter or not, but I'll choose when I've put the zip in. I think I'll go and buy the zip tomorrow, and possibly get started on the blue parts of the dress too! Now, I just need to go and find a pink/red vest that I have laying around somewhere... _______________ 05/07/2008: Okay, so, apparently that vest I had laying around? It's disappeared. XD So, I am either going to make one or buy a new one! I've completely finished the white part of the dress and the lining too, now - I went out to buy a zip today and added it to the dress as soon as I got home. :) I'm very happy with how it has turned out! Now to add the decorations! _______________ 12/08/2008: Got a new red vest to wear underneath the dress. :D Also, I started adding the blue details to the dress and have started from the bottom up (I also added the blue bow to the chest too). Unfortunately I have no material to do the criss-cross pattern with, so I have to wait for the fabric shop to phone me and tell me when they have some in. They said it should be this week or next week, though. :D Still need to find little flowers for the shoulder too. Pics soon! :) _______________ 22/09/2008: Apparently when I said "Pics soon! :)", I was lying. XD Anyway, I've finally taken some progress shots, although this costume has been as you see it since the last time I updated this costume! I'm hopefully gonna do some more soon. Today, I went out and bought the stuff I needed to finish off the criss-cross patterns, and I will be working on them as soon as possible. After they're finished, there won't be much left to do! | |

I've been trying to do this and failed 5 times. So I'm really looking forward to seeing this, because I love the dress!
Will you be wearing this to any conventions or expos?
I might be wearing it to the September Midlands expo. :) But, I haven't actually decided for definite about that expo yet! I keep my Cosplay Island up to date so if I decide to wear it to a convention, you'll find out. ^_^
