Description
I already had the 'undergarments' of the cosplay: underbust (that required a little modding), pants, suspender belt and stockings and I bought a steel boned corset from What Katie Did. Managed to buy some knee length lace up boots from ebay at a reasonable price. The main body of the costume is made from yellow cotten. Making this part was fairly simple, though I'd change the length of the skirt if I could! The wig is a styled 'Angela' wig, colour number 30 from cosworx. This was definatly the hardest part, I had no previous experience with styling wigs and I know with more time (and money for another wig) I could probably do it better but this wig will just have to do! The costume is very comfortable, although the shortness of the skirt makes me feel a bit uneasy at times. The boots have 5inch heels that I'm not used to walking in but they haven't caused a problem so far, I'm sure walking around all day at expo will take it's toll on me though. Also haven't tried the steel boned corset on as it's yet to arrive so I'm hoping it won't be too uncomfortable.

I tried it on and spotted loads of mistakes >_< hopefully fixed them now though, just need to concentrate on the back. Though when I tried it on the back look ok lose. And thankssssss :)

80% (Posted 26th March 2009)

I guess it's about 80% complete because the wig is going to be quite a big thing so I hope it arrives soon! Also need to find some over elbow length gloves and earrings as close to Silk Spectre's as possible.
I think the main dress is too short, I tried to make it longer than the original because I didn't like how short it was but I guess I failed. No way to change it now, I've got The Comedian to deal with.

More boots (Posted 22nd March 2009)

Went to Schuh and it turns out that the boots have been discontinued :( bad times. But ebay might have saved me :D I found a pair of boots that look are the spitting image of Sally Jupiters. Only problem was they were in a size 4 and I'm generally 4/5 but prefer 5 for boots. Also, the heel height is 5 inches, dont know if I have a pair of shoes that high, hope I can walk in them ok!

Boots arrive. Boots fit. Happy Jenny.

Well I have found some boots that are within my price range but they're not quite right.
I think they're pretty good and I'll be able to buy them locally so I won't have to worry about shipping/things turning up in time. They're also not too high, and I'd want to be comfortable during the day, really wish I could find some lace ups though. The only ones I can find are around £100 and I honestly don't think I'd wear them enough to justify the cost in this time of recession...
