|I've wanted to cosplay this girl since the first trailer, but I was waiting on the official art to be released. AND NOW IT HAS|
She's such a cutie! And customisable! I'm going for the light blonde option for now, as I know that hair colour suits me. I may change my mind and go for the honey light brown that the artwork has.
Hopefully going to wear this for the game's release! At least it's a relatively normal outfit!
-The hat is a white wool hat that I dyed red. It went bright pink at first so mum and I carefully mixed up a spray of the dye and did regular 'coats' until it was red. It's faded a little since then so I may spruce it up for MCM.
-The top is black jersey, with a black plain cotton peter pan collar.
-The skirt is plain red cotton. Please read the journal about how I made it because I ceeb to retype it all!
-Shoes are fake converse with pink felt pokeball motifs appliqued on.
-The bracelet was a little last minute. Failing to find a black bangle, I bought a neon pink one and painted it black with nail polish. For the Mega Evolution stone thingy, I swirled a blob of metallic green and metallic blue nail polish into a circle. I may add the silver detailing but I don't think it would look good.
(sorry I got the name wrong! In the E3 footage they referred to her as Yvonne, but it's been confirmed that her canon name is Serena. Me gusta)

Bag! (Posted 6th October 2013)
I finally finished my Serena bag!
I used doubled-up pink pleather to make it, though the feel of the ‘outside’ of the fabric made me retch so this is the ‘inside’ of the fabric haha. The bag is quilted and fully lined, and I put in a phone pocket too!
Its so squeeshy, I will probably use it as a pillow when travelling to and from expo(s) c:
Skirt (Posted 7th September 2013)
After a lot of trial, error, pinning and screaming, I have finally managed to get a skirt I'm happy with!
I started off by cutting the waistband and then making and attaching the pleated section as I normally would for a skirt, but not to the full measurement I usually do it to.
EDIT 12/9: All the details added now! Hopefully will get a progress pic tomorrow if the lighting's good!
Shirt (Posted 1st September 2013)
Attempted to start on the shirt today but progress is slow thanks to a bitch of a cold/ extremely delayed conflu.
EDIT: Shirt now complete. Used some leftover cotton from Popuri's corset for the collarm using a basic peterpan collar to make my own pattern. It fastens at the back with a popper so I can get in and out of the top easily c:
Shoes and hat (Posted 9th June 2013)
The shoes were so easy. I bought some cheap black-toe converse-style shoes and sewed felt pokeballs onto the sides of them.
