| This costume was hard!!! I bought this Silver Crinkle Tissue silk from puresilks, it wasn't to expensive to buy at the time, The Trims on the upper sleeve were made from several different types of trimings I could find and joined them together, the Gold stars on the net cuff were made from the original Ever After dress template them embroidered on my mum's embroidery machine, straight onto the net. The bodice contains a Silver polyester Satin Dupion with the Silver crinkle overlayer ontop of this, the centre pannel is only Dull Gold Gold lace with embroidery ontop and a pre-bought applique for the middle decoration. Tinsel triming was used for the edging. Has an Ivory darping Satin Underskirt, padded at the bottom with wadding and French notts are the only thing holding the hem in place. The panels of the skirt are overlocked edges like the original, and the flowers appliques down the front skirt sides and up the bodice were made on the embroidery machine and every little flower on the appliques was highlighted with silver thread in Back stitch. Silver metallic christmas string was used to do the chain stitch on the skirt and over 1500 small pearl beads were sewn onto the skirt with the chain stitch embroidery. | |
