Better looks at RINGU I think.

Amecon 2006 and the original Ring!

Costume Information

Cost : £40 or so in materials, then paid someone to make it for me for I am useless!
Time Taken : Far too long

Thief King Bakura in all his glory! Though it has certainly evolved!

The first one was for Amecon 2006 - I made the Millennium Ring completely from clay, so it was heavy as all hell, and even though I used acrylic paint, the damn thing melted! The outer coat, inner coat and skirt were made by a family friend after nicking a pattern for a cape of all things, then I threw together a quick boobtube with the leftover skirt materials.

Cons: Melting Ring, skirt slightly loose and a boob tube that wouldn't stay up!
Pros: the wig was awesome! I already had it from a previous cosplay, all it needed was some spiking!

By 2007 the skirt and boobtube were replaced and straps were added! The outide of the ring was replaced by MDF, though the pyramid in the centre remained the same!

By 2008 the Ring was completely remade and now looks kinda rough, but it was much easier to wear and didn't melt!

Original plan was to wear it for Aya and have the ring be PERFECT, but I think I'll retire it. Until next Amecon anyway! :D
