| Worn to: - London MCM Expo Saturday 24th October 2009 Belle is my favourite Disney Princess - in fact, she's just my favourite Disney character full stop, and she always has been. As such, she holds a special place in my heart! I always put this costume off for various reasons, but after seeing the perfect shade of blue fabric on a trip to the fabric shop, I decided that it was the prompt I needed, and it was about time I got round to cosplaying Belle in her peasant dress. I would love to make her ballgown one day, but right now I would like a simple, comfy cosplay to wear for times when I don't feel like putting on a big costume. :) This costume was really easy to make; the dress and shirt were made in a single evening, and the apron was made the following day. I already owned the shoes, book and basket, and I didn't bother with a wig because I have natural brown curly hair which is the same length as Belle's. I may buy a wig in future, though, as I didn't really have time to buy one for the first con I wore this cosplay to. All in all, I really enjoyed being Belle, and hope to wear her a lot more! | |

FairyPorchQueen: I may take some more progress shots when I finish the hairbow, but if I don't the next photos I take will be when the costume's completely finished. :)

Uh...I've no idea, actually! I'm going to go out with my sister to take some photos when it's finished, but I don't know when I'll be wearing it to a con! If I do decide on one eventually though I'll definitely update :)

if someone comes up to you singing "Look there she goes that girl is so peculiar.... I wonder if she's feeling well?" hehe OR more likely saying some Gaston quote, it'll probably be me... hehe You look LOVELY as Belle!!

Looks awesome so far! :3 I loved Beauty & the Beast as a kid, and even if i'm not as big a fan nowadays I still like it more than most Disney things haha :)
