|This is a possible future project for a friend and I. Currently a 'maybe' while we research if its possible to do. |
We both really loved the character designs and would like to have a go at creating them.
The tough part is that Scissors Crown is fairly unknown outside of its native Japan so getting hold of ref images and the story itself is proving very tough. I have always wanted to make a Scissors Crown costume ever since I first saw Thores Shibamoto's designs through her blog. Seen these designs done by other cosplayers (mainly Russian)and feel in love with the detail and design.
We hope to enjoy the challenge of making the costumes despite the limited availability of the artwork and story.
*Update 8th March 2013*
Have changed from Claus to Alice as I've found an awesome Claus to do a possible photo-shoot with. My friend has decided to focus on other costumes so this is no longer a join project. It will be interesting to do Alice. Plus, the wig I am thinking of using for another costume which will be great.
This is now delayed till 2014 due to budget.
Research and mock ups (Posted 5th June 2013)
Currently researching the few reference images that I have been able to get of. One friend was kind enough to send me some clear images which has helped. Like with the Trinity Blood artbooks the art for the costume does keep changing. I'll be using a combination of pictures to create the finished piece.
I'm undecided as to which prop to go for. As much as I like the large prop/scythe I am concerned with my lack of ability to transport it so I may go with the smaller parasol.
I'm working on the mock up for the top as I want to get a good fit before doing all the applique.
