|I was going to be Teatime from Hogfather, but the cost of the contact lenses bothered me... as well as my ability to take photos accurately. So I decided on one that would allow me to use my actual eyes. I settled on Moist for.... reasons.|
EDIT ONCE WORN://
Having people come up to you and shout "YOU'RE MOIST!" is both as awkward and hilarious and you'd expect to be honest. But it happened. I got recognised a lot actually, far more than expected. Actually, aside from my Disney cosplays, it's the most I've been recognised in person in a cosplay. Which is, you know, fantastic.
I did get some kid asking if I was The Golden Snitch though. Well, A+ for 'most creative incorrect cosplay guess' ever I suppose.
I was a little nervous in this at the start of the day, mainly because I wasn't in a binder (mine had gone missing, but I was allowed to borrow one thank God) and I stuck out A LOT. Seriously, I was pretty bright and shiny. Once I got recognised though, I was much better. Also, my friend coming up to me and saying flatly "well you're gonna be hard to lose today" was pretty darn hilarious too.
I was pleased with shade of gold I picked. I wanted to go for a brighter shade, I was originally going to go for plain old yellow and maybe have some gold lace. But then I found this shade of gold, and it was a bit expensive but it was perfect ;;
The hat kept falling off, it's hard to sit back when you have feathers on your head, also the feathers themselves kept on falling out. But other than that, the costume held together really well.
I'm happy with this, I will probably be wearing this again in July with a Discworld group.

Trousers = 95% done, just need to hem the bottom. Also take them in a bit because holy cow I actually have lost weight since last August.
