|Cost :||Uh... Don't make me think about it! =O|
|Time Taken :||Too damn long.|
|Originally made to accompany EksDee-Alucard's cosplay of Captain Jack Sparrow at the October LondonExpo 2007. |
This was unfortunately a bit of a rushed job, but I was pleased with the results nevertheless.
The costume was made up of:
A brown, distressed, Tricorn hat (purchased after much searching from eBay)
A white 'pirate' shirt (This was hand-made by me)
Brown trousers (supposed to be 'pantaloons' but due to lack of time, I compramised with some brown trousers that I bought from WALMART in the States)
Black 'pirate' boots (unfortunatly, these are supposed to be BROWN. However, in the time given, I could not find any so I used what I had already which were my boots from my Alucard cosplay, but they worked rather nicely!)
A red, buttoned waistcoat (also made by me)
A shin-length, wool-blend, mid brown coat with braiding design (This was also made by me, and a bugger it was too. I finished the coat but as I was due away on Holiday for three weeks in America, to return the day BEFORE Expo, I took it with me to attach the braiding over there.)
An Aztec Coin necklace pendant (A purchase from Disney World)
And a Sword! (This was commissioned by the awesome n0ught from cosplay.com, also known as Waterclone on the Expo Forums. www.propsmith.co.uk)
The wig I used was also another eBay find...though I DESPISE THAT WIG. Its awful, especially on me but was very accurate for the character... And accuracy is what I try to aim for.
This costume was used once more after Expo to accompany Captain Jack once again in a two day in-store promotion in Morrisons in Essex for the release of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean DVD, POTC: AT WORLD'S END.
