|Hey self you should really stop uploading new costumes here!|
How about shut up. |:
Ummm...I really love this game. I really love Connor. I can't carry off burly older version so weedy baby face was an obvious choice.
Also it helps that this costume is gawwwwjus. Tassles and embroidery and delicious fabrics. It's going to be tons of fun to make.
If this goes well I may well also do teenage version.
Not sure when but Gemucon looks like the perfect place for this. :)
EDIT: Finished and worn at gemucon. This costume was an experience to make to say the least. 8'D SO many different fabrics went into this, so much hand painting, all the freakin tassles and most of my sanity.
But all that aside...despite this being a bit painful to wear because of the open chest binding...I'm really happy with this cosplay! I actually liked how it turned out and I want to wear it again! :3
Wig Test (Posted 23rd March 2013)
Young Connor (ACIII) wig test.
Never in my cosplaying life have I encountered a hairstyle that differs so dramatically from ref to ref. So I took it upon myself to do whatever the heck I liked and i’m just gonna hope it looks vaguely recognisable.
It has magpie feathers on the back but I’m useless at taking back shots.
This means that BASICALLY Connor is done. The basic components are done. I’ll do a proper test with the costume and make up tomorrow.
Belt Progress (Posted 3rd March 2013)
Pretty much what it says on the tin. This is my first proper go at embroidery so it's not perfect or anything but i'm learning tons! This has cross stitch and herringbone stitch. :3 Should be done by tomorrow! ~
Undershirt (Posted 21st January 2013)
So I guess this is one of those things that just plain looks better in person. xD
Anyway I wanted to give an idea of the fabric...which this picture sort of failed to do...but I think I hit gold with it! It's really rustic and tribal like so. :3
It's fun being able to sew things and not worry about clean edges or anything though!
Basically this shirt is done bar the embroidery detail down the front which I need to buy things for...
