Flower Skirt base progess (Posted 2nd March 2013)

Izzy - This was made using two layers off cotton cut and sewn in to the shape that will fit over the top of the white skirt and to be attached onto bodice. The gold embroidery-type thing was done by altering the stitch to large zig zac with the smallest distance between stitches. This used up two spoils of gold thread.

White Skirt Base (Posted 1st March 2013)

Izzy - Skirt base was made with two layers of polly cotton which was they symmetrically pleated each side. It was then dyed using Dylon red cold dye ( As polly cotton does not dye as well Red dye was used instead of pink)
