| I loved this! I made most of it while watching my housemate-in-halls Simon play the game. I painted the obi by hand, then embroidered it with beads to add sparkle. I painted a design on one sleeve inspired by Lulu's sleeves, just to add variety. I mean, even then this costume had been done 1.2 billion times...Likewise, I made her Celestial Weapon Nirvana as a less common staff, out of the mop handle from my halls kitchen mop and some artist's foamboard. And a metal hoop screwed in one end! The top I made using iridescent cloth, again for variation, with a lacy edging. It was the first costume I made and what got me into cosplay! (I'm sure this was quite a few firsts, it's so inspiring) I also used artist's foamboard to create the shape of the obi bow and to hold it stiff, with the fabric wrapped round it! The skirt clearly sucked, and I'd do it again but I guess everyone is still bored of Yuna... | |
