| The costume is borrowed from Vinnie, while for the first time I used stock photos. Just for the main flames, however - the little buildings I put together from shots of Cambridge and some little fires from a pic from Disneyland Sea! Heheh. Rest assured, despite their not letting me continue my doctorate there, I don't wish for those beautiful old buildings to be consumed by conflagration... FMA is one of my oldest fandoms. I've been reading from the day the very first English scanslations appeared on Toriyamaworld, then my favourite manga providers. Must've been early 2002. I introduced my roommate to the series and we caught the feature film in a Tokyo cinema, apparently impressing locals by being able to pronounce 'Hagane no Renkinjutsushi'. The experience was made more surreal still by an earthquake. I stuck with the manga even when all the anime's fairweather fans abandoned it, and still read it to this day. Roy isn't my favourite character, but he's perhaps the one I suit most, and after all Vinnie had the costume for me to borrow! I jumped at the chance and took a few pics. I thought this one would be hardest, and was going to build up to it, but decided to start with a bang, so to speak, so here is me as Roy. I like how this one turned out. I haven't really liked the last couple of edits I've done. This one looks nice, though. It's bold and poster-ish. It's time to grow out of the over-photoshopped look that blighted some of the Sora&Riku pics, though. Little by little! The trouble with choosing poses as the Flame Alchemist, however, is how much fingers ready to click tend to look like rather a rude sign, in the parlance of the Bonzo Dog Band. | |
