Description
This is my first cosplay, and first major clothing sewing project. It's made of flocked velvet dupionette- which holds the dust nicely and has stained well. It''s all hand stitched/pressed as I'm wary of sewing machines! Fully lined- which wasn't fun. The wig was created with massive help from this tutorial- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRVQJxT3dzI&list=UUAAszizDDdScfqclAybLiEA&index=4&feature=plcp He's amazing- and also make the latex bald caps- which are excellent quality It's dyed crepe wool (olive coloured acid dye), fixed on with liquid latex. It's strong enough to brush carefully and style. The makeups a mix of a Ben Nye monster wheel, Grimas broken white and corpse, moss green and ochre facepaint, and hobby foam-moss for model railways stuck on with liquid latex. The grotty teeth effect is Mehron enamel in nicotine. I soaked it in tea, highlighted the dirtiest parts with coffee, and have used thin glue to fix dust to certain areas. I bought a bag of cosmetic dirt to pat this thing down with. Some parts are sprayed with brown ink for a mottled effect. There are three different kinds of buttons- Mr.Big Beetle at the front, tiny skulls on the cuffs, and two bigger skulls at the back. I’m currently re-working the wig so it sits more naturally on my head, it’s more powdery and yucky XD I’ve mixed a creamy base-colour for my face/neck/hands. I'm working on blending the seam with latex. The shirts just a cheap one, with a vest stuffed with belly padding underneath. The collar has more hobby moss held on with liquid latex. The boots are from e-bay, the Victorian cane was one I already own. The broken watches are e-bay finds too. It isn't film accurate- just something B might wear to an event. Plus I love his top and tails from the cartoon. Found the ring on e-bay- it’s not perfect, but does the job! It’s a bit too bit, so I’m gluing it to my finger and moss-ing around it. Right- I think that’s everything so far. Nearly ready for MCM! If there's anything you're curious about- just ask!
