| 30th Completed cosplay! Yay! 8D Oh right yeah I suppose I better actually update this space. :P I'm hetalia obbsessed. It's quite worrying really. But it's too late, i'm too far gone. XP I was drawn to England straight away and not for the reasons you might believe! I identify with him alot...which is also worrying. (Am I a walking stereotype?! X.X) But I knew straight away I wanted to cosplay him. ^_^ This is based on the manga/webcomic version. England has much lighter hair in the anime, but I prefer his dark blond manga style hair. ^_^ I managed to find the perfect wig on ebay! It even has like....dodgy stitching on the weft that makes the back stick up unevenly (unintentional, but perfect for Iggy! XD) The uniform was alot of hassle. X.X I looked in alot of army surplus stores and such cause I was determined to be accurate. Eventually had to get one tailor made for me by a company that makes uniforms for tv and film. O.O But because of various complications (i.e. I dont want to get into it again. :P) I ended up basically having to tear the trousers totally apart and re-make them to fit me. So at least I gained trouser experiance from this cosplay. Stillhatemakingthem. X.X Shirt, tie, belt ect are all historically accurate too! I have no idea why this sudden OCD cropped up with this cosplay. I think I was just hoping to do as much homage as possible to a character that means alot to me. ^^;; Boots are recyled from my Wolfram costume and actually fit pretty well! ^_^ And gloves are from my Roxas costume. Costume piece recyling ftw! Brows are my own. Yes. I finally found a cosplay where I dont have to do anything to my brows. It's a small miracle. A god given gift of massive brows. :P First cosplayed this version at Fuyucon with big hetalia group and had an awesome time! I love being England. It's a cosplay I just feel totally at ease in and almost assures me i'll have a fantastic time due to my awesome fellow hetalians! ^_^ I also rewore at the Grand International Cosplay ball and got lots of love which made me so happy. ;_; I'll be wearing this alot. Be prepared to be sick of it. XD Now a con doesnt feel complete unless I bring this with me. <3 | |

Weeeee (Posted 17th July 2009) I NOW HAVE NO MONEY!! I'm kinda super picky and worked out the only way I was going to do this how I wanted would be to spend money (more money than just picking up a freakin £20 jacket...I hate myself sometimes. X.X) Buuuut now everything is ordered and should be here in a month or so. 8D All the effort required on my part now is just buying the belt, the rest of the props and getting myself into a permanent state of pissed off-ness. Good times! >D |

Awww; I'm sorta potentially planning on doing Germany next (oh wait, this!) year... Hopefully when I do it I'll have people cosplaying Japan and Italy with me :D
