Description
This is my backup crossplay due to not being able to get Keine done. So now, this is my first ever crossplay! For some reason, I've grown on Yuyuko. I love character, her spell cards and her fandom comical eating habit. I brought the cosplay off a friend since he was selling his cheaper than what other places where asking for it and I wore my white hakama from my Arturo Plateado cosplay underneath. Everything else was brought. The make up was done by my friend. The wig fringe was cut kindly by chibiaimee. Was really fun cosplaying as a girl, I got a lot of praise and positive feedback from my friends and many strangers which boosted my confidence in crossplaying more higher than it already was ^-^ It also made some of the girls jealous that I can walk in heels better than they can XD Also, everyone loved stroking my legs XD. -About the character- Yuyuko Saigyouji is the ghost princess of Hakugyokurou, the netherworld of the "formerly-living", but was once a living human. Long ago, after her death from suicide, her body was used to place a seal on the Saigyou Ayakashi, a dangerous youkai cherry tree, to stop it from killing innocent humans. During the events of Perfect Cherry Blossom, she enlisted Youmu to find a way to make the tree bloom to resurrect the corpse buried beneath it, apparently unaware that it was her own body. Forced to abandon her plan, as it would only result in her own destruction and the unleashing of the Saigyou Ayakashi's terror once again, she resigned herself to continuing her previous existence. During Ten Desires, the heroine investigates in Hakugyokurou because they suspect that Yuyuko is not taking care of the spirits properly. But Yuyuko guides the heroine to the Graveyard behind the Myouren Temple. She has the power to invite mortal souls to death, and those souls who perish this way wind up in Hakugyokurou rather than Heaven or Hell. Though it might seem dangerous for such a whimsical, seemingly impulsive personality to wield such a terrible power, Yuyuko appears to have a strong sense of responsibility regarding her power, and never uses it recklessly or out of spite, nor does she use it as a weapon. Ironically, it was this power that drove her to kill herself in the first place. Humans fear Yuyuko because of her fearsome power and a general fear of the supernatural, but she is very cheerful and friendly. Unlike many ghosts, she resembles a living human, and her playful, good-humored personality, otherworldly beauty, and courtesan charm can have a disarming effect. She often makes bizarre and apparently nonsensical remarks and sometimes seems to overlook the obvious, leading to her characterization as an airhead or a ditz. However, at other times, she will reveal an extremely cunning and perceptive side and will also sometimes display an extraordinary level of knowledge. She seems to never take anything too seriously, though, and she loves to tease her straight-laced and eager-to-please assistant, Youmu, who is her opposite in many ways. Probably originating from the term "hungry ghost", she is also known for her incredible appetite and seems to have a food-related metaphor for any situation. Sexy smooth legs are sexy ;p Your gonna rock this outfit :D And don't worry about tights - they never seem to be the colour they say they are :D But they do look good in the test shot :D

Wig arrived. (Posted 13th November 2012)

After 37 days of waiting. My main wig for Yuyuko arrived today. Needless to say, it's pretty nice wig :3

I'll be using this wig for Yuyuko from now on.

Tights, Socks & Shoes Test (Posted 24th October 2012)

Decided to shave off my 24 years of leg hairs today and I have to say, smooth legs feel incredible! LOL

Brought some tights today and they seem darker than what they looked on the package. I tried them on along with my socks, shoes and cosplay on and they looked much better than what they do. Glad how everything came out for a first time thing.

Cosplay Arrived. (Posted 20th October 2012)

My Yuyuko cosplay arrived today. I brought it off my friend Jeff, for £20. It arrived today and it fits perfectly! I am so satisfied with it.

Just need to wait for the wig to arrive now.

Shoes! (Posted 17th September 2012)

My shoes for Yuyuko. May not be accurate but I thought they were cute and would suit Yuyuko. Found them in a charity shop for £15. Not a bad find and price imo. They are a size 7 and I somehow can fit in them. But I know at the end of the day my feet will die. Will probably take them off during the day to rest them.

New crossplay plan. (Posted 15th September 2012)

As much as I wanted to crossplay Ex Keine from Touhou, my only chance of buying her outfit is gone. The only seller on eBay that sold it is no longer available, and other sites that sell it are too dear.. So I decided to go with plan B, which was crossping Yuyuko, lucky when I announced it my friend said he had her outfit for sell for quite cheap. Which is good as it saves me so much money in buying a brand new one. All I need to get is the wig, bloomers, frilly socks and shoes. Oh! and a fan too. Before I do all that, I need to buy some pads and a bra to fit them in.
