| So this character is something I've wanted to cosplay since I read the books. I found out that my close friend Frederica_La_Noir also has a passion for the books and we have decided to cosplay Sabriel and Lireal together. We will hopefully be doing these when she comes to visit but no doubt they will feature at a UK con at some point. UPDATE 20/02/13 Hopefully the plan is to wear this for Ayacon 2013. I am very behind on finding all the bells but I always knew that would be the most difficult aspect of this cosplay. We've decided to opt to make the surcoats out of wool. The books state that it's a linen surcoat but with the ridculour amount of embroidery required wool will probably look a lot nicer on completion. Also I have opted to make my Surcoat blue. This is because blue is the colour of the Abhorsen blood line and even though the books never mention the colour of Lirael's surcoat I believe this colour to be the most accurate. | |

Oh my f*cking god! I was just saying to someone the other day that someone needs to cosplay an Abhorsen! This is amazing, I am so excited! I can't wait to see this!!!!!
