| Like our bunny group which was extremely successful at Kita, my friends and I decided to do a maid group for Amecon. Although I would have liked to try a maid Kallen, I thought I'd try something different this time, and as Kurumu already has a maid outfit, I had something to work from. I would have liked a little more time to work on this cosplay in all honesty, as it was a pretty last minute thing and I wasn't sure if I would even get it done in time, but it came out pretty good. If I were to ever re-do this, I would sew the added bit of white ribbon around the top of the corset, and probably wear a better bra XD. But it was still very successful and we had so much fun playing around. There aren't many good photo's but at one point we invaded the dance floor at the SU and just started cleaning the floor! The cheers that erupted from that point were surprising. I had a lot of fun in this cosplay, although I did feel a bit exposed. We didn't get as many photos as we did with our bunny girl group at Kitacon because Amecon was more spread out, and people were in several different places in the evening rather than just down in the lobby, but it was still good albeit cold. And we had pizza so our Maid/Waitress Eclair claimed that as her prop for the evening! | |

Last Minute Hairband Sewing (Posted 10th August 2012) I was not gonna have this on the cosplay, but as I had a few minutes to spare I sewed the white and the black hairbands together so they look more maid-ey. Hopefully I'll be able to get it on over the wig without messing up the wig XD. On the note of the wig, got my mum to cut and style the fringe of the hair yesterday so that was brilliant. It's a little bit long but I can part it slightly and it still looks good. Curse my small forehead! |

Material Bought and Sewn onto Gloves (Posted 25th July 2012) Bought some white and black ribbon for the gloves and choker a couple of days ago and today I sewed the two together and then sewed them onto the arms of the gloves and attached a piece of velcro to the leftover fabric for the choker. Looking good so far! |
