The zip (Posted 15th August 2012) Probably the most awkrard bit about this cosplay was inserting the zip. Although I have finally bought a tefflon foot, I still need to buy a zipper foot to give the outside of my garments a more even and proffessional finish. |

The Skirt (Posted 15th August 2012) So here is a view of the skirt I am working on. It's going to be made out of leatherette. But before I could sew this type of fabric, I had to buy a tefflon foot for my sewing machine which didn't work out too expensive. In fact, the foot cost under £3! So as you can imagine it was the best investment I've ever made. I wanted to use leatherette because I seen other cosplayers use PVC and such, so I wanted a matt material other than cotton. I was originally going to use garbadine when I was a bit iffy about working with leather, but I thought to try and tackle those sorts of obstacles. And that alone has now fianally paid off. Since then the skirt has been completed. And I have made sleeves to match. |
