What Next? (Posted 19th August 2012)

Today i have finished the build for the Cod Piece and Chest Armour which have both been painted black.
I have decided that i am going to build a spine and an additional front section to go between the chest armour and the cod piece.

I shall start doing these in the next few weeks.

Colours (Posted 18th August 2012)

I have decided to use a base coat of black paint to hide the bright blue colour of the foam, however i am a little stuck as to which colour to use for my armour.
I was originally going for the black/grey but after playing Halo Reach again i think this may be a little boring.
This is the colour i may be going with.

First attempt at painting the Spartan chest armour (Posted 11th August 2012)

I completed the work on the chest armour a couple of days ago, after adding the straps and buckles i decided to paint a base coat of black paint on first.
After having a research online i found that the best thing to do is to seal the foam as many paints can melt the foam, this was done with watered down PVA Glue. This is something which you don't need to do if you are painting the foam with Acrylic, as the paint will begin to crack.

I solved this problem with a few more coats of Acrylic paint which stopped the paint cracking.
