| Since seeing the 2011 Thor movie I was taken with the series and started picking up Thor graphic novels. What can I say? Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are cute. After finding Lady Sif's backstory in Latverian Prometheus I decided to take on her costume. It's a bit of an ask as the last costume I made was a generic catgirl about five years ago, but it's going to be worth it. If there's one thing I'm nervous about it's actually working with Sif's fur collar - the catgirl costumes made a complete mess! I'm making her armour out of craft foam, adapting a corset and skirt for the main sections and cheating and buying a sword. Completed note (post Expo) It all came together! Well, sort of. In the end I wasn't really happy with the skirt, and I need a better way of attaching foam armour to myself. Velcro just kept sticking to my tights! | |
